Cleaning Coke off my Carpert

Not the powered stuff, but a large Coke from McDee's ended up all over my drivers footwell early this morning :mad:

How to I best clean this up ?
Any recommendations on interior cleaning products ?

What colour is the carpet? Did you not try to drink some of it back up with a straw to reduce total spillage?

I find Autoglym Interior Shampoo to be most effective.

Shampoo is fine but it won't do anything for the coke soaked deep into the upholstery under the carpet.

Hire a carpet washer from the supermarket, one with a hose and brush and clean it up as best you can and then just drive around for a few days with re-circulation set to enabled and the AC on, it will eat up moisture in the cabin and you'll avoid foul odours from the underlying damp.

It'll be an excuse to carpet wash the other footwells as well I guess

Lemonade works well. It's like the white wine on red wine trick.

I'd get a wet van like Numatic George to tackle the problem and as importantly suck up the damp/moisture.

It was full fat coke, I've got some crappy Tesco car interior cleaner and will give it a go tomorrow. Should be nice and sticky by then

Buy a cheap carpet cleaner from Asda or even poundland? and give ti a good cleaning. Anyone know a good place for cup holders for cars? OP needs one probs too.

wetvac all the way. You can use car interior fabric shampoo to let it soak a while beforehand.
