Nokia Windows 7 Phones

used the 800, its beautiful.

Now to be honest I don't know if that was my general anti android feeling I've developed recently or the fact it was the first time I've used WP7 but it felt incredibly well put together, the interface was quick, easy and quite fun, felt much more like a phone OS than android which I genuinely believe feels like I expect a linux PC would feel, like basically hack it together/apart however you like and you can expand your god complex.

But for picking up and just using/working this came as close to iOS as anything I;ve found.

It was literally 20 minutes with it but I was smitten. That said if I had £1 for every time a bit of tech has done that to me I would be rich.

But, and its a big but (and I cannot lie) it felt like the build and general high quality feel of a switched off N8 or E7 with the OS polish the previous handsets could only wish for.

I can't wait to get my hands on mine, together with an N9 I could end up 100% nokia which is saying something considering I could easily get anything from Nokia FOC and I choose not to right now!

Very eciting, executed properly Nokia would be well and truly back but unfortunately MS have a big say in whether that happens or not. I'm not conviced there's enough mindshare going spare with Apple, Android and Blackberry still slugging it out.

That n900 looks lovely and specs do seem rather good.

Be interesting to see if any of these handsets will have an sd slot.

Been waiting for these Nokia wp7 phones for a while, bring on 9am lol

Just over 30 mins to go, till we find out what Nokia has to bring to the show.

The specs do indeed look good, but i think the 800 is where its at (for me anyway) due to the styling and size.

Jesus were the style team only allowed to work on the 800 and banned from touching the 900? Stealth edit: 710 looks pretty bland too, come on Nokia - we know you can do this, where is the N series trademark flair, decent use of design and desire factor, you can be consistent, do it :P

Quite like the look of Windows Phone, might be my next destination if Blackberry continue to stuff up, I think Microsoft are the only ones who can compete with Apple in providing a whole lined eco-system, phone, tablet and desktop.

So they're using the N900 name again? :o

No, someone just made it up, confused I think! :p

Either way there was no talk of a 900 today so whether that is a leak for another time or just made up I have no idea. Good in a way because that is one ugly phone...

Disapointed there was no mention of the 900, probably the only one that would have interested me. 3.7" screen on the 800 is too small for my liking.

Nope wasn't confused, was looking at the gsmarena link at the time that called it the n900, so apologies if it confused you all lol

They are dropping the N from handsets Maun so it's (potentially) called the Nokia 900 rather than the Nokia N900 which is a phone they already made. nVidia would be proud.

I would have liked to see a 4inch screen device but the design of the 800 is fantastic.

The 710 looks a bit meh but the customisable covers look pretty cool and its on the cheaper end of the scale.

Still hoping for a bigger screen device announcement but given i'm currently using a 3.5 inch display and am happy with it i will probably go for the 800 - fingers crossed its nicely subsidised to break into the market.

Yeh cheers for clarifying, it would seem the link I was looking at had made a ill error hehe

I much prefer the 800 but interestingly I showed my wife and she said she preferred the 710 instantly.

That's a limitation of Windows Phone, MS are playing the long game here. These early devices/OS builds are for mindshare and credibility only, that includes the next update too (Tango)

You'll need to wait for Apollo (Windows Phone 8) for high end market specification phones.
