Very cheap BMW 7 Series HP

BMW seem to be offering some good deals on the 7 Series,

£1200 deposit and £399 + vat per month over 24 months with 10k limit and 12.5p/mile after that

I'm not keen on the 7 series but Sounds like a very good deal so I thought it my help someone here.

Can a VAT registered company claim the Vat back on this?

They are offering big deals on 7's and 5 GT's at the moment, I'm considering.

What have you been offered on both if you don't mind me asking.

I think the 7 will have a LCI coming up soon

Yes and No, depends what the use of the vehicle is going to be.

If it's for business use and personal use then you can claim upto 50% VAT back, if it's solely business in theory you should be able to claim 100% of the VAT back, but I think it will be extremely difficult to prove that this particular type of car isn't being used personally.

Also you need to take into mind BIK, as you will become liable to pay company car tax.

Sounds like a very good deal to me.

You can only claim half the VAT.

You can claim all of the maintenance VAT and half of the lease charge VAT.

Actually just read the title again and I assume you mean finance lease rather than hire purchase?

I could be wrong as I have never financed a car so I don't really know the difference between HP, PCP, finance.....

Hire purchase is like finance, buy now pay later type of thing. A lease is just a rental.

HP is buying the car. Deposit, then equal monthly payments until the car is paid in full.

ah ok so this is a Lease not HP. does that make a difference when it comes to claiming back the VAT as you are effectively calming back VAT for a service not a car.

You won't be able to claim back VAT from HP unless it's a working vehicle like a white van.

Not all leases, actually this is a contract hire.

Not all CH will include maintainence and or road fund license.

And also additional things like tyres, screenwash, etc

I spoke to them, it includes everything except tyres and insurance.

Local BMW dealer phoned Dad last week touting for business, but didn't mention any deals this good! He's getting itchy feet on his 58 plate E60 so I'll give him the PH link!

My Dad picked up a 5 GT for a stonking price as I think they're not easy to shift.

Lovely car but a bit odd looking, does grow on you though.

I'm due a replacement in March next year and have just spoken with Ocean Torbay. I told them I wanted a 535i and that I would get in contact now so as not to leave it last minute. There and then they offerd me a contract hire agreement on a 535d GT M sport, brand new, with almost every conceivable extra for £499 a month. They topped it off with full maintenance bar tyres for £400 totes.

Too bad that fugly thing isn't coming anywhere near me

This thread really caught my eye, although i am not the 7's greatest fan this seems like excellent value, are you going for it?
