Which song should be national anthem?

Jerusalem is utter crap because it attempts to insert Jesus into our nationalist view. I Vow To Thee My Country is considerably better from a theological point of view, but I'm still not comfortable with our co-opting religion into this when our country is so devoid of Christians.

Just because people aren't praying in the streets don't think that as a majority we dont hold christain beliefs

Jerusalem for the rousing factor, screw statistics about how many Christians there are in the UK, it inspires patriotism without question.

Whenever there's a tournament it always slightly embarasses me to hear how crap, dreary, uninspiring, boring and non-rousing our anthem is compared to most other major countries.

I can't listen to these as I'm at work, so apologies if I've made any mistakes here. Scotland and Ireland's rugby songs are also fantastic, especially Ireland's Call. Even though they're a bunch of rebellious scoundrels , it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when they sing it at rugby matches.

Christianity has long had a considerable influence in our country and it's entire structure is underpinned by the morals gained from it.

Obviously it has diversified, but I think to forget our Christian heritage is to forget a major part of our history.

And I do believe it something to be celebrated.
