they give a good enough stopping distance for british standards
The British Standards do not test for wet stopping distance.
At what point will you realise that you don't appear to have sufficient understanding to debate this properly?
they give a good enough stopping distance for british standards
What is even happening here?

You are stupid.lost for words really, remoulds are legal, you cant do anything about that fact, they give a good enough stopping distance for british standards and we in the uk have on average some of the safest roads in the world..
i dont use remoulds but wouldnt say, like some, they'd kill you, but what i am saying is, dont have the mentality that, if you buy the top of the range tyres you're invincible because you're not..

the shocking part here isn't purely that Mickie and the OP are contemplating using retreading tyres. The shocking part is the amount they are saving is about what I spend a year in magazines, or 2 weeks' commuting on the train, or a jacket.
I say again, £200 for a set of Continentals is a bargain.

you dismiss ECE regulations ?
yes, you're arrogant.
no, my point being, they're within the law.. so go to hell what the lot of you think.
Regulations are a set of minimums standards, nothing more.
Nankangs meet them, but who here would put them on their car for serious mileage? Nobody with half a ounce of sense.
