I took my B2 Asus board back to be exchanged last month for a new B3 board. Well fast forward to yesterday and i was told a replacement had arrived.

So i went to pick it up today. I asked the pleasant chap on the counter if i could have some form of credit note instead of the new board as id already got a better B3 replacement.

Well the answer was yes and even better i got refunded the full purchase price of £125. :D

So im very pleased that the new OCZ 1000W PSU cost me less than £30 :p

Is this customer service refund just a one off (or because you visited the shop) or do others experience this too? I've ordered from OcUK before and never had to use the RMA service.
 
I don't think he does, hence the "how are you finding" it? and the "I'm interested to find out".

If he had one he wouldn't be interested to find out how they're finding it as he would have his own one to know of its quality. Right?

Or maybe he's asking someone elses opinion on it to compare? Although the wording does suggest him not having it.
 
Sorry it's been a long day of SQL statements, my brain is not so sharp at the moment.

Yeah I have one but I was wondering what were other peoples experiences of it. I've got the ZX 1000w with my 580's but I'm getting capacitor whine, only in SLI though. Which is weird from a GPU, as the whining GPU should give the noise when at full whack by itself?

Alone each card is silent, SLI whining :(
 
Mine been fine too but i've not added my 2nd 580 yet but doubt it will have any recoil whine as it still will not be fully stressed in SLI even....reason i got 1250w version was because at the time i purchased it was only £10 more than 1000w never the less £160 for a 1250w gold modular psu is madness. :p

Yeah service is great here i've never really had any issues at all and have ordered a lot of stuff.
 
What bugs me is that it is the CARD whining :(

Surely alone when on full whack it would whine... Why does it do it only in SLI?

Another typical SLI issue :P
 
Another point on why I prefer single powerful cards over SLI :D

Could just be due to the card make itself. Asked anyone else in a 580 sli of coil whine?
