A friend of a friend ran his inaugural 'Artistic Nude' photo workshop today! ..(everybody remain calm!)

I was invited along for the day, to take the course, but more importantly to give feedback about the workshop, to say what i felt worked and what didn't etc, before he opened the course up to paying customers.

I was a little apprehensive, but i must say, i really enjoyed the day, well who wouldn't ;) ... joking aside, between Leigh who ran the course and the lovely model Victoria they made us feel very relaxed and created an enjoyable atmosphere in which to 'work'.

Anyways id like to post a couple of my shots from the day, but i am mindful of posting what is deemed appropriate on this forum, but none of what i am proposing to post is anything other than artistic!

Can i email the photo's to a mod to sense check before posting?

Why not put in on your flickr (if you want) and link us to your account front? There are plenty of other forum shooters who do that, if it's artistic and accepted on Flickr, it's generally ok for adult users - perhaps not a direct link to image due to family friendliness here.

BTW, flickr automatically 'blackout' adult content shots unless the user click on seeing it anyway - or they'll be redirected to kittens.

I think we are not being fair on the op!
I like the 2nd shot best out of these, but yeah would like to see what 27 is!

The net curtain background does not work.

#5 is the best.

We've seen the buttocks and legs now it's time for #27 to complete the assessment.
 
I agree with the above.

I don't like the net curtain either as it doesn't seem to fit with the style of shoot.

No 5 is a superb shot though, love the lighting and composition.

One other thing though is that I hate tattoos (personal taste thing), but in the first shot especially its drawing my eye away from the natural curve of the body.
 
Yeah i kinda agree about the window shots (these were my least favorite from the day), there are better ones, but alas i can post them here :(

Agree with you regarding the tattoo's, i will have a go at cloning it out later ;)

I cant believe I'm going to say this but.....Ive been looking at this image compared to the one you've put into the 'Dark' comp thread and I think the above image is better as the focal point on the droplets on her bum are in focus while the one in the dark thread appears to be soft with the focus on her spine and beyond. Was this intentional? I understand that you've just put it in as an early entry (wrong choice of words i know :p) and you could be changing it. Just thought I'd give you the heads up.

Comments on the other photos are pretty much as above. The light on the net curtain shots detract from the model and dont work as well as the darker shots where the light illuminates the model.
 
As above , the white curtain shots do nothing, 1st is OK but not too special, 5 is excellent, 6 is poor.

I can imagine it was quite hard (no pun intended!) to get these shots. Not a normal every day thing to take photos of a naked hot model who isn't your GF..
 
Great shots although I agree with everyone else about the window shots.

P.s. you can see no. 27 by looking at the directory the other photos are in :p
 
^^ I agree with you all (bar D.P, i don't agree No6 its 'Poor' and simulatorman 'does not work' you forgot to say imo ;))

I would have liked to post the good one's from the 'window' part of the session, because i genuinely feel i did get some, but alas, they are frontal shots so no chance of posting them, sorry ;(
 
My girlfriend is in to photography and has done a few nude shoots, she was taking the photos though, a model wanted to increase her portfolio.

But I can honestly say, I just don't get "artistic nude" at all. The only reason I have to look at a naked women is for ******* over & in my some what limited experience the models all have small boobs and look far too airbrushed & made up to be normal looking. Show me freckles and scars anyday
