05/11/11 12:23 There was no one to receive the goods at the delivery point so a card was left.

Been in all day. Didn't even attempt a Delivery. No Card, No Call, No Nothing. Why do big companies still using pathetic unreliable couriers?

And now they are closed.

Am I alone in thinking they are worst courier EVER?

/rant over.
:o :)

No, the worst couriers ever are HDNL, so bad they had to rebrand as Yodel ... but with all of them it depends a lot on your local depot.

At the moment, other than HDNL, the worst for me are actually Royal Mail (which wasn't the case 6 months ago) who did yet another card and run on me this morning with no knock or actual attempt to deliver.

I've had problems with Citylink in the past, they used to claim they had attempted delivery and that the driver had noted the front door was white...

Yeah because 60% of doors aren't white these days... Never any card left :/

Seems the driver has changed now and its been ok since, guess the other guy was just lazy.

They 'attempted' to deliver something to us at work one day and were incapable of figuring out the intercom system (clearly labelled). Twice. Even with instructions.

Knuckle draggers.

Probably too busy to even stop, its not the drivers fault its the ridiculous workload they have.

Balls. Thats a bit like saying I'm too busy at work to drive my Scania!

Its part of their job to deliver parcels! More like the driver can't be arsed and would rather have his feel across the cab asleep in a layby.

****ty link (as they are known in the trucking community!) don't have the best of rep, I worked for them years ago & it was pretty bad, especially compared to my previous employers - ANC (Now FedEx) and the ones after, DHL.

Please fully star any swearing in the future. Thank you.

Apologies. :o

So if they have too many parcels on the van to possibly deliver in one day what do they do, bend time and space just to get them all delivered?

No they stop arsing about listening to music (or the guy that delivered my case from citylink was texting and he spent half a ****ing hour in the back of the truck) and put their foot down.

Maybe that was his lunch break?

Makes me laugh when people whinge about couriers, so you miss your parcel big ******* deal, its not the end of the world. Ive had worse service before now.

I've never had an issue with them.

These threads are absolutely ridiculous. You can (and will) find horror stories about all delivery companies, simply put, it comes down to the individual driver you have, not the company as a whole.

I've yet to have a bad delivery experience with most couriers yet.
It may just be the driver in your area. No matter what courier a company chooses you'll find someone to complain about them, or you may encounter the same sort of problem again.

Seriously?

if a driver puts "omg i have too many parcels in my van" he would probably get a warning/disciplined.

So lying and saying the recipient isn't in makes it better how?

I'm sure CityLink know that 90% of those cards dropped are because the drivers work load is too high.

Its better because the driver doesn't get fired for not delivering his parcels?

No, he should do what he's supposed to do and ****ing deliver the ****ing parcels even if he has to go home half an hour late because of it, not blatently lie. Some people have taken unpaid/holiday days off work because they stuggle to have parcels delivered to them because they're not in when the post/couriers come and then they do this it's a joke.
