Oh, I didn't mean here :D I just mean in general ahah! My point I was trying to (poorly) put across is that I am tolerant of all religions and people should stop bickering cause they are all the same basically :D

Good grief, take it easy, drop the persecution complex and stop looking to be offended.

From my perspective your posts are demonstrating so many parallels to how religious intolerance causes suffering in the world it's not even funny. You take offence at something someone has said, turn it into an attack on your beliefs, and then blame all Christians and Jews for a single posters comments. You then go way over the top threatening to do the same or worse to any future thread featuring any religion other than Islam in an attempt to offend as many people as possible demonstrating far more religious intolerance than the first post ever did. When asked to refrain from doing so you try to suggest that you are being discriminated against for your religious views.

Given your low post count and extreme reaction I'm starting to wonder if your posts are actually a set up trolling by one of the "less Islamic friendly" (ex)members to try and show Islam in a bad light?

Just take it easy and accept that people won't always have the same view as you, it's not a great conspiracy to oppress you. All that's happening is you're disrupting what was intended to be a pleasant thread far more than the person who seems to have offended you did.

Oh, and Eid Mubarak...

Abraham was a jew wasn't he?
Didn't he establish the basis of the religion?
Is the story the muslim people use from the old testament, or was it retold in one of their holy books?

I was unaware until today that Islam celebrated a man offering his child as a sacrifice. This is new to me. I guess the point of the story is obedience to God, unquestioning obedience.

All three of the monotheistic religions are Abrahamic, and yes, that is the reason the story of him being willing to slit his son's throat is so celebrated.

Grow up. It's a genuine question. I'd expect this to be asked of any religion (e.g. priests that abuse children.).

As a man who was brought up Christian but now questions a lot of the practices, it's not inappropriate for me to ask other religions about their practices.

e: I'm expecting him to say that it is abhorrant - to answer your question.

Your probably right, but it's an interesting topic, for those that do believe in such acts I wonder how they justify it?, are they wrong or is the faith wrong?, who teaches this to them?

The main problem I have with the Muslim faith is how women are treated, while growing up in some pretty nasty council estates that were dominated by ethnic minorities (before even Muslims were hitting the Tabloids) I couldn't help but feel sorry for the women, they just seem to have no life at all, they were just servants to their husbands, and we all know that many women are forced into marriages that they don't want, I'm sure a lot of these women would defend their position but I feel that they've been indoctrinated.

To all those who have a problem with the religion in any way or form/ want a debate- this thread wasn't meant/ created for you- it was simply to pass on a greeting from one muslim to another.

How would you feel if I came in your Christian/ Jewish/ Sikh/ any other religion thread, on your day of celebration and starting posting stuff similar to what you have? It would not end nicely.. Im not surprised some of the Muslims have reacted the way they have..

I wouldnt do that to you/ don't do that to us

I dont condone it if thats what your asking...i find that a sickening practice in all honesty and id be surprised if any decent muslim here would condone such a practice.
