The team at DICE is hard at work on the next entry in the Battlefield series, and to ensure access to the exclusive Battlefield 4 beta, shooter fans can pre-order Medal of Honor Warfighter today. I would think evey two years as bad company surely fills the gap? I dont mind if they release one every two or so years and can keep (at least in some small way) evolving the series for the better with the continuation of the PC in mind, but it is EA .....

probably be this say hey we soley catering for pc as thats our favourite platform and release all dlc first to the biggest platform ps3 :p amount of people they trolled with this for bf3 is quite amazing.

Let's see what happens when the next-gen of console is out.

It's to early to say the series is going downhill when they are restricted with this gen of console as to how they can improve the game, pretty much like MW.
 
I really hope bf4 is a return to world war 2/ bf 1942, this engine would do that era so much justice. I'd love to see some of the older maps (NON WAKE Island) redone. The atmosphere and carnage this engine could bring would leave you with your Jaw on the ground.

Im starting to get a bit bored of laser this, and ACOG that, and don't get me started on Night vision oooo and loosing heat seeking weapons and bringing back ones that require you to actually aim, wouldn't be a bad thing. Single shot rifles, and less gimmick unlocks please. :D

That wont happen. Any main BF title will always be a modern warfare game. I wouldn't be supprised if a 2142 addon comes out for BF3.... Just like Bc2 did with Vietnam.
 
I'd never say never, its the era that the game started in I'm sure a few of the left over devs from the original game would love to remake the game that started this all off. With the tools they have now it would be epic.

They can stick 2142 where the sun doesn't shine, terrible game(I no lots loved it, just not for me). I couldn't care less about mech walkers and laser rifles. Give me a Thompson for close quarters and a M1 Garand for everything else.

Could do with another 2142 tbh on various planets or something, but would probably be stepping into Star Wars: Battlefronts domain.
