Had Fibre Optics installed this morning

As title. KC chose my tiny little village to trial to the door fibre optics. No additional charge, no cap for 6 months.

I actually can't stop laughing at the speed and I'm in need of suggestions to make the most of this...

Probably just spikes to that speed, i doubt you will have a constant 220mbit. Has to be a temporary glitch.

The engineer said there were discussions about throttling it but for the time being they're leaving it open.

That is awesome, I was amazed with my jump from 2mb to 40mb. ~200mb must be insanely quick to download (as long as the server can serve that quickly!)

Get a newsgroup subscription.

I'm more impressed with the ping and the upload, those are the key factors for me. Over all downloading bandwidth offers diminishing returns in what a single person can do. I've gone from 10 to 20 and finally up to 50. I get 50 pretty much all the time and my usage hasn't changed much since 10. Other than downloading HD material there's not much currently that's legal that benefits from it.

Now the 20Mbp up is a different story, I would love that!
