So far i have bought:

ASROCK Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3
I5 2500K
MSI GTX460 HAWK (from last year lol, still haven't installed it hihi)

MEMORY:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-060-GS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517
99% decided, they clock decent, nice price, great manufacter, satisfied with
recent G-SKILL DDR2 i own

COOLING:
Scythe Mugen 3 cooler YES/NO?
For now i have XIGMATEK S1283 if anyone remembers? I heard it might also fit on ASROCK?
Noctua NH-D14 just feels too expensive for 2-3°c less....

POWER SUPPLY: - too many choices
Still deciding on PSU, is it really worth to spend extra money on CORSAIR TX650W/750W modular? for example LC POWER GP3 650W is 1/2 the price....DONE, CORSAIR 650/750W MODULAR.

CASE: ANTEC P182.

check my system i have in my sig....

thanks for tips.

Definitely worth spending the extra for a quality power supply. It's one of the best investments you can make and will last you several builds. Cheap, poor quality power supplies often can't deliver their rated wattage, are horribly inefficient and are far more likely to become faulty. The worst bit is that a cheap PSU, can take the rest of your system with it when it does become faulty. Better safe than sorry ;)

how far do you want to oc the cpu? if its to around 4.6ghz then go gelid tranquilo £26

the fins on the ram will interfer with the cooler, you either want to change the ram to without fins or get a closed loop liquid cooler such as corsair h60 etc.

I seriously doubt its only 2/3oc difference between the d14 and the other coolers you've mentioned, your current cooler will fit on the asrock board(does it have skt1156 mounting? 1156 and 1155 mounting is the same.

psu as stulid said in the other thread you posted in DON'T SKIMP ON THE PSU.

if you can live without modular then you can get bit cheaper but stick to corsair, ocz(not one I generally recommend but stulid does), xfx.

recent cooler:

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/thermalright-xigmatek_4.html#sect0

appears only 775 :(

are you guys sure about fins on ram interfering mugen3? cause on noctua site i checked compatibility list for gskill ripjaws, they're ok.

so noctua d14 yes or no? grrr to expensive....i'm looking for mild oc 4,5-4,6 not more.

ok PSU CHECKED: won't buy cheap one but CORSAIR 650/750W TX modular or something.

with the d14 you can move the fan up a bit to cope with the fins on the ripjawx(but is dependent on your case being able to take the cooler with the extra height of the fan bein moved up), don't think the mugen has that feature. don't think the silverarrow(cheaper/better than the d14) does either(check in the cooling section)

as I said the asrock can take 775 mounting, it has holes for 1155/6 & 775 so you can use your current one for the time being and save up for a better cooler.

How about the Antec Kuhler H20 620 for £45.

Not too dissimilar performance than the Noctua DH-14 for quite a bit less plus you will have no problem with ram height.

And it looks cool ;)

What case do you have btw?

You could probably get a perfectly decent 500-600W PSU for a lot cheaper than a TX650W Modular if you're just powering the one GTX 460 - I have personally ran one on a 430W Corsair and had no problems at all, although I wouldn't advise it :D

I expect you will be told to get whatever 1600MHz RAM with C9 timings that is on offer, unless you have personal preferences that outweigh cost savings. I've read on other threads that installing the RAM with big fins in slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3 should give clearance for an air cooler like the Gelid Tranquillo.

Are you planning on going SLI in the future? If not you could probably get a perfectly decent 500-600W PSU for a lot cheaper than a TX650W Modular

pull the other one ;)

the 920 will give similar/better results :)

sorry i have

ANTEC P182 :)

Not planining with SLI at all, not such die hard gamer, playing games with 9600GT oldie atm, GTX 460 will be a boost enough :)

On slovenian forums i mentioned H20 620 but everyone laughed at it and yet here it's kinda recommended? :D

I think it depends on what you compare it too, compared to custom water cooling then it probably is a bit lame but as a substitute for a air cooler for a modest overclock I think they're perfectly adequate and the mid range ones hold there own against some of the best air cooling solutions and at a very reasonable price in comparison.

I think the Antec Kuhler and Corsair Hydro cpu cooler ranges come well recommended on these forums. I notice a lot of people seem to be using them.

I would definitely fork out the extra £ for an modular PSU, helps with the cable management and also helps with the cooling side of things.
'I' personally would either go with one of the 3 brands
.Antec
.Corsair
.XFX
least you can be sure of reliability, if you check some of stulids threads of some of the PSU's he's recommended lately and pick one suited for you're build. Make sure you check out some reveiws also before purchasing. btw, some of them psu's I listed are made from Seasonic witch is a big :D!!

I'm gonna go with Corsair 650w or 750 modular for sure, that's decided.

Still rolling dice on cooler, it must be compatible with mobo and memory.
