MSI GD65 promotion

Hey all.

Firstly apologies as I have asked this elsewhere but I'm not getting any responces

Basically, I am really thinking about buying the MSI-GD65 mobo as part of the VAT cash back offer. However, they are out of stock and it clearly states that only those who purchase between 7th and 21st Nov will qualify.

Does that mean I've missed the boat?
I have no idea when they will come back into stock but it does say as long as the invoice is stamped and posted before Dec 9th it will be accepted. I'm a tad confused and I will only buy this mobo if I know I will get the money off but due to the fact they have all gone out of stock I have a feeling I've left it too late. The "other" competitors don't even tell me if they have them in stock so I don't fancy ordering from them.

I haven't been around for a while so I had no clue that this deal was running at all. Only for having a quick browse tonight did I notice it. I haven't bought it yet and don't know what to do.

Have I indeed left it too late?

Firstly theres still 2 hrs 15 minutes till the start of the 21st, and I think the deal includes up to tomorrow midnight.

says it must be "before" the 21st, so i read that as 2 hrs left.

This says "inclusive" of the 21st.

Im confused too now.

The page at OcUK also says "only valid for purchases made between 7th and 21 November 2011" in the first paragraph.

The MSI page says "7th to 21st November 2011 inclusive".

It would look like it includes purchases on the 21st November and I would think MSI would have a hard job denying a claim for a motherboard purchased on the 21st.

I can't guarantee that anyone buying on the 21st won't have any problems claiming on the cash back offer.

As it's an MSI promotion I would go by the MSI T&C's that would include motherboards bought on the 21st.

The OCUk page does say simply purchase a selected blah blah board from overclockers before the 21st.

This offer is a bit screwed up.

It's for boards purchased by the 17th, 20th or 21st of November depending on which piece of information you read.

I'm tempted to order the GD 65 tomorrow, but I am wondering as well when this offer is actually due to end, in the original thread in the offers section one of bullet points was 21st November.

I'd interpret that as being as long as you buy it tomorrow (21st) you'll be fine.

I'm still confused. Thanks all for giving opinions. Feel a bit in the dark with this one. My problem is the GD-65 is out of stock so I'm not sure if I qualify as it does state on MSI promo banner "limited stock" (or something to that effect).

Does this mean that up until the 21st as long as you purchased an MSI mobo that is in stock and immediately ready for shipping your entitled to the offer?

Gets me wondering see because for all I know MSI won't send out another batch for a few weeks say. By then the 9th Dec "claim" date could have passed and then I'm in no mans land.

Pretty sure I read that MSI rep say that the date on the invoice is the shipping date not the actual purchase date which contradicts the original dates entirely.

I have been on hol see guys so I only spotted this deal last night and at the time it was a mouth watering proposition (just had a flashback from Amsterdam lol putting that).

Now, I am not so certain.

Well, that's it see and what I am considering now. Don't know about other people but this really put me off. Yes I know I'm having a whinge but it's a shame really.

I could always hang on till next year and start a fresh then.
