Who has SKY HD+?

Congrats! :)

The information above Azza's post is now incorrect after sky changed the pricing, you now only need to pay the one fee for HD regardless of how many HD boxes there are on the subscription.

You can either pay Sky the full whack for a new box, or keep pushing and they knock it down to £40 for the box and £60 "installation fee", if the box is for a simple upgrade to HD for a casually used device you can pick up a second hand box off ebay for £40-£60 then ring them up and ask them to pair the box to the card.

Guess who has a spare sky friends and family code in my inbox, which I don't need!

So if anyone is interested........

I am mate - can you remind me what it does exactly? im assuming half price sky for 12 months? and can it be used for existing customers?

thanks in advance matey :)

The £100 M&S Voucher offer has finished.

thanks,
went via quidco for Sky + HD
still have to wait until next saturday for them to come and connect it...have no idea why as there is no need for them to connect to the dish as it is communal ...anyhow...HD goodness for Xmas :) no movies or sport but I dont need those ;)

any channels I should be looking forward to ? :)

There's an offer for movies, sports or both for half price for three months atm. My mum got asked last time she phoned. Not sure why she has both!

Sky Atlantic is a great channel, Game of Thrones next year and Walking dead on FX too!

What can I do with my old Sky HD box? I've just moved in to an apartment where I'm only staying for 6months so not bothering getting Sky as I don't want a contract but I have my old box and all the wiring is there as it's a shared dish on the building.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Just had Sky HD just installed with a 1tb in the living room and then the normal Sky+ 250gb in the bedroom.

Coming from Virgin it is nice to have all the sports channels etc all in HD. The internet is terrible where we are now so we are going to go for BT or BE or whoever is the quickest soon.

Just a heads up, sky are going to charge £1 for paper bills.

You need to go into your my sky to change this, which will come into effect in january.

Anyone run anytime + using 200 mbps homplugs? Was thinking about using a couple of TP-Link TL-PA211's. The sky HD box is downstairs, the routers in the bedroom...

I have Sky+ HD
Love it to bits. The sky package i have in general i think is well worth the £52 or so, never had any problems either, well... apart from the internet screwing up for a month at a load of exchange upgrades.
