In another thread I said I was going to make this thread. About 2 days before I did. that's probably what you saw.

No, this was months and months ago, maybe even last year.

Maybe it's the beer blues, but I kind of don't want you to be banned now. Maybe your idea of not posting utter tripe is a better solution, you could even do the odd thread perhaps, but just not utterly crap ones. Or are you like a lightswitch? All or nothing?


Why have you really made this thread? Do you really care what people think? Or have the constant stream of insults directed at you finally become to much?

People are well within their rights to react to your threads if they want, just as you are within your rights to make them, until it becomes proper spam.

So you don't really have to make a thread like this, just keep posting until you are stopped for legitimate reasons, or you become bored/don't enjoy the responses.

Firstly obviously I only made this thread when I decided I was ready to jump. I'm not a mentalist!

I think in order of importance:

1) Spending too much time at work pressing 'refresh, refresh, refresh' and typing mad long threads just to find boss behind me glancing at screen. Never got rollocked, but TBH eyebrows were being raised...

2) The amout of slating after a while made me think a little 'I'm spending all this time/effort raising threads which generate much more interesting debate then 'Is Leeds nice' and 'I'm watching TV while typing, what about you?' and it's all just resulting in scores of young-uns typing page after about what a ****** I am. Didn't bother me in it's own right .. but when that's all yer getting back .. and the 'I'm eating toast, shall I drink orange juice or apple juice with it?' threads are getting 4 pages of niceness and serious discussion(!) .. there is a part of me that starts thinking 'find somewhere fresh'. The irony is .. I'd have loved witty putdowns, and clever retorts. But they weren't any that were witty or clever. They were 15 year old's retorts! Pages of the buggers! Read Robbos responses! Rubbish! No thought behind it, no cleverness, no cunning rapier like sarcasm or decent slating. Same with Moses. They never even tried! My favourite putdown I did was when someone called me a idiut. I said 'you got a letter wrong which ruined that insult, you ancient, mystical cult'. Which I thought was funny. And broke no forum rules.

3) I got banned for this thread

Mod just decided he didn't like me but I was SOOO careful not to ever break rules just try to set up interesting threads.. so he used the catch all word 'spam' and banned me. After non-mods told him to. Then joined in the LOLZ with them. Read the OP. It's not spam. The racist rages get no action, the class hatred? Fine no problem .. I got banned for this? Really planted the seed TBH.



Anyway -- may still get a 'stay'. It's not over until my wife sings.

Well that thread got locked because it was a piece of **** considering there's already a BF3 thread that is years old and could easily have been put in there!

So there.

You shouldn't have been banned for that thread, but maybe you should have been mocked a bit, as it was a fairly crap idea. :p

As for leaving, leave if you feel that you want to, don't if you don't! It's obviously a bit late for that advice however...
