Steam Autumn Sale

Not really, in my eyes the stuff that's on sale on Steam are like the games in displays you get at the exits of family run electronic stores e.g. virtual pet games, 3d scrabble etc..

That is so far from the truth, one look at today or yesterdays games is enough to prove that statement a load of old cobblers .

Mass Effect, Portal, Fallout: New Vegas and loads of others fall into that category?

This. I really don't get what he was on about. There are some FANTASTIC games in the Steam sale. Cheap doesn't mean bad...

Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road are all substantial additions whilst the other 2 are mainly new items and a few challenges.

New Vegas is a great bargain at that price. Completed it recently and really enjoyed it. With regards to the dlc I bought new Vegas + most of the dlc in the summer sale, I have never got round to touching the dlc as the game is so massive! I suggest you could hold off buying the dlc until you have made substantial progress in the main storyline. It is bound to be discounted in Christmas sale.

The DLC is so cheap you may as well buy it now, OWB and Honest Hearts are well worth it imo, I've not played Lonesome Road yet so I can't say about that and Dead Money is a bit marmite.

Name some games that you would like to see discounted then. From past experience nearlly every game will get discounted over the course of the sale, nothing boring about that.
