£500 budget gaming rig

Dear All,

I'm new to the forums having built my first PC after buying everything from Overclockers not very long ago! My friend is green with envy and has asked me to try and find him a machine as good as I possibly can for no more than £500 including a monitor! A tough ask methinks (C400 on the unit itself). This is what I've come up with:

It's funny I've been lurking for days reading your posts. Feel lucky that you replied to me! Got to go to bed because early start tomorrow but thanks so much for your help - I've bookmarked this and will take a look in the morning with a clearer head.

I think that he's going to choose the better processor over the better monitor, do you think that's a wise decision?

Sorry to take the ****. The guy Im building for as assured me that he's coming over today with card in hand to order the PC.
He has said that if a Gfx card included BF3/Skyrim then I should order that because he's gonna buy them anyway as long as it worked out reasonably.
I have come up with this for him, the monitor has come down in price as well as the case.
My one concern is the PSU: I've set my curtains on fire once in a BOOM and dont want this to happen to him.
