*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

So I have been running this on full settings using CF 5850's apart from Shaders, which if put on high make the background flicker. Turn these to low and the game runs smooth as silk.

You get your ship around level 10 - 11, but the Cantina should be okay.

No you don't - you get the ship at the end of the Capital Planet quest line; more like Level 14/15!

However - Ship/Cantina should be good to speak to companion - any rest zone basically

Everquest2.

I have to say, the hour I played last night it seemed like a well polished MMO, however it just felt so generic, really didn't drag me in at all and I cannot see me paying to play it whatsoever.

it feels like kotor with other players running around. still cant see whats left to hold your attention after the story is finished.... pvp is rubbish the combat system is pretty rubbish the game feels like it should have been released 10 years ago.

one of the most expensive mmos ive ever heard of aswell...

RRP £45 for the standard edition WTF? digital deluxe £60 WTF? collectors edition £129.99 WTF?

i remember the collectors edition of warhammrer online only beeing like 70? came with a hardback artbook , a hardback comic novel thingy and a limited edition metal figure(i think only 20k of them were made worldwide) that would retail in games workshop for like £10-20

it seems collectors editions these days are just massively overpriced for the sake of it

Guys, is there any way to summon a companion?
I've lost mine and cant find him ANYWHERE.....Corso Riggs. Cant take on any more missions without him :(

yeah I'm guessing this is some kind of bug, as it's happened to me.. the companion 'menu' disappears so you can't resummon, also it disappears when the companion is present too occasioanlly meaning you can't control it's actions...

Anyway, to summon it if you press 'N' (I think) that brings up your crew window there should be an option to send your companion off to sell off all you vendor trash.. click this, and he'll dutifully go do as he's asked and appear by your side with some cash to boot 60 seconds later :)

Tried an empty corridor, but that didn't work. Going to watch qualifying. But when I log. Ack on I'll try going out into the world somewhere.

Shame we're all running around with that colour lighsabre.

Haven't done any crafting yet. Any idea what it's like is it as vast as swg was, or is it more like other MMOs.

Go to any canteen/rest area, your companion will not speak to you in open world area's ..if you have a ship thats always best place.

Could some1 tell me what settings they are using and on what gpu + cpu, currently looking at the:

Gtx460
Rad 6850
Rad 6870
i5 2500

Thanks :)

My WoW guild has died since the Panda announcement and most are waiting for SWToR to be released as they claim it to be the "WoW Killer".

I've spent about 8 hours playing so far and I have no interest in playing any further right now. I think some people are going to be a bit dissapointed.

It's not awful, but it's not quite what I was expecting either.
