**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

I wonder if my cyan 800 arrives tomorrow.... ha ha. I had another play with a Lumia today and I am still impressed.

Yea, and I think they also limit non tethering plans to 384 kbps too.

I'm fine with mine though.

You guys have the coolest office, hope you new one is as nice :) All our testers were black but you sent us a cyan fake brick as per usual. We did the only thing responsible and boxed it up for another tester face down so he thought he was getting to play with one.

To the T-M bandwidth query - this is because the majority of their infrastructure is limited to 1.8Mbps, their HSPA+ sites are the linked sites with Three and they are more rare. Don't worry too much about it tbh, over time it will get better.

How is the earpiece volume on this handset please?
My contract is up on 1st December and I have being watching this thread for a while. Looks like a nice phone.

Believe it or not I just have a SE Arc at the moment. :p

I've just been informed that Vodafone are out of stock of the Blue, so I have canceled my order with them.

Does anyone have any experiences with P4U? delivery times etc... ?

If not I may order one in Black. :eek::rolleyes::D
 
Really can't decide between this and the Galaxy Nexus, i do like the look of Mango, but the lack of apps puts me off, but free sat nav is a great plus for me! I've yet to have a play with the nexus, had a little one on the lumia, felt the screen maybe could have been a little bit bigger but that's all.

P4U are fairly good and do next day delivery as normal, etc.

Typical that they of all people get it first... again. :rolleyes:

There's no bad branding with T-mobile as far as I can see, all they did was remove the Nokia Blue Accent colour and replaced it with T-mobile magenta.

On another note I just got my bill for this month and it seems the Telesales person made a Human Error.

I had managed to get Her to give me an £80 discount on the handset, so I paid £70 for the phone upfront. Checked the bill just now and they gave me a £224.99 discount on the Handset and the £70 I paid has just gone towards paying off the left over of this month plus 1 month in advance and the rest has been carried forward as credit for future bills.

That's a score as long as they don't fix their mistake.

Has anyone bought one directly from Vodafone and can confirm it is free of Vodafone branding/bloatware?
 
You're safe with WP, providors cant do much more than change the time colour and print their name on the case.

I will help you decide ;)
if you need full gmail sync(contacts, calendar etc) - forget about WM7 ; if you have hotmail its perfect

if you download big'ish files - you will have to switch to WiFi like on iPhone.

I would keep it if I would not rely so much on gmail...and got annoyed by trying to download game from market and was told to switch to wifi...

but on top of that - t mobile cut down my internet speeds ...got pished on them so cancel my upgrade...now going for Nexus hopefully soon...need to flog desire hd first...

Thanks, that's good to know.

Swaying towards one of these due to what I feel are stupidly high prices for the Galaxy Nexus.
