Sometimes I'm ashamed to be British...

Nearly 30% of Scotlands population was not born in Scotland, so it depends on how you view and class diversity to be honest..

i dont rate diversity, not really into their (edit) dancing..:p

i think he means, as long as they're white and speak good english with an accent, they're ok.

if people are into diversity so much, why dont they start putting it on the main channels, bbc, itv, cha4..

some indian/jamican/polish programs? ect people on this forum are very pc and pro imigration, im sure you'd all love it all over the tv everyday..

you're all ok with foreigners taking over some areas, surely you'd be find with them all over the tv.. but they're not really on tv unless its the news, yet america play a lot of mexican tv and they're probably the biggest racists going.

i dont agree with how the woman acted on the tube but if i was on the tube, i'd feel uncomfortable with people speaking a different language around me, i'd not say anything because i have respect for people but it wouldnt make me want to sell up and move to the area

Why ? I feel uncomfortable if people can eavesdrop on my private conversations with my parents, mind you own business imho. I hate it when other people can listen to what I say to a person. Conversations should be private.

Sure, I'm curious if some turks or moroccans or africans or middle eastern people or chinese are speaking, but quite frankly, it's none of my business and they deserve their privacy. Then again I love being a dirty little eavesdropper when I stand around some Poles and I can understand everything they're saying without them realising :). Can easily understand Germans too and if people speak in French I can also (mostly, sometimes it's all gibberish to me) make out what they are talking about.

Luckily I'm not a target of racism, but I probably would be if I looked or spoke differently, people usually don't know/notice I'm Polish until they hear my last name, you can't see it or hear it from my speaking ( Born here in NL but brought up dual language).

In primary school we actually made up a language with 4 or 5 mates :) so nobody else could understand us. //geeks

because im my head they're laughing and at the same time saying, racist remarks towards british people and planning a take over bid..

maybe im looking into things too far but thats the way i am..

just kidding, i think its something to do with being brought up around english speaking white kids/people and not liking change and also feeling pushed out, this is what i would fear could happen to a predominantly white area..

i know mixed race areas have always been like this so i accept it and think its fine, im happy for it to stay the same but i probably sometimes go on about it as being bad as to probably gets a point accross that i dont want it happening in my area.. its pretty clear to see that one job took by a polish man could have been took by a british person..

Perhaps, I'm just pointing out what a diverse culture is. It doesn't have to rotate about coloured people or muslims indeed it doesn't matter what the contribution is as long as it works.

No, I think this a bit too extreme really.
