Yeah there is loads of different levels of interleave.

Also different IP's on BT will give lower/higher pings to certain sites. I usually reboot my router a few times till I get nice pings to BBC, Multiplay and Jolt.

Example;

With IP of 86.144.253.174

ping mutliplay.co.uk -t

Pinging mutliplay.co.uk [85.236.96.22] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 85.236.96.22: bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=119

Some IP's even give as high as 35ms to Multiplay

Since I had the new modem installed this morning I now get 9mbit upload instead of 8

For anyone interested in getting 9mbit upload instead of 8.3 uncheck the QOS on the modem, you will need to unlock it.

If someone else could test this, would be nice. I've tested after a few reboots and it seems to stick so..

Its cheap and works great!

The only reason to pick another FTTC ISP is if you have more money than sense, or enjoy being told how much you can download.

I noticed BT are now doing BT Infinity 100Mb in some areas for £35.00 a month.

That's a brilliant price. Hopefully moving into a new mortgaged home soon so will have a in depth look once I get sorted. Do you still get a free router and is it decent enough?

Yeah, you get the modem + Homehub 3.

I've never had any problems with the HH3 it just lacks features really, others in this thread might tell you different tho
