So, I've been playing with Jakiro, the twin headed dragon, and I'm really enjoying him. His abilities are great, and I've finally been getting kills! I'm still not getting the same sort of K/D ratio as the AIs are, but at least I'm the same level as them at the end of the game, and the last couple of games we played, we actually won! Its all finally coming into place. Still need to figure out what items to aim for though Aghanim's Scepter for the upgraded ultimate is nice, and I usually go for the item which gives 15% lifesteal for keeping alive, and something which gives nice mana regen. Other than that, I browse the shops while dead, look at things and think 'Ooh, that would be nice to have'.

Yeh there are a heck of a lot of items to choose from. Items for your chosen toon can sometime depend on the enemy line up.

Blink dagger may also be a good item for you, you can get amongst them use your aoe abilities and ult to great effect if the enemy are gathered together. (also nice for escaping an enemy chasing you down or for getting in range and ahead of a enemy trying to escape).

Reading up on all the heroes abilities is a good idea not just for your own sake when using them but for what to look out for/avoid when playing against them.

You just made me check my email again!! Not a blooming thing! why does valve have to be so mean to me.

I can see there waiting for me to spend lots of money in the sales before giving me a key just to spite me so that i will have a bunch of games to not play!

Just read this, kinda hilarious you expected different. They aren't nearly the most active LoL players mate and knowing one of them very well, he never liked HoN and that so it's pretty unsurprising he didn't play the Beta very long. You should have checked stuff like that out first rather then moaning after the fact :D

Meanwhile me and a few friends got keys earlier in the week and have been playing the hell out of it. Very fun, incredibly faithful to the original Dota (almost too much so) and the new engine looks beautiful.

for one i wasnt moaning.
and given the choice again i would give them keys again rather than someone like you
