Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I actually enjoy 6v6 it's just unlike previous maps these feel like they were designed for bigger battles. Where as before the maps were compact enough to get constant action. Probably feels fine on 9v9 or 12v12 but when you go back to say the original maps on MW compared to MW3 i'd say they are at least half or two-thirds the size.

Its not he size of the map thats the problem, its the number of paths the enemy can take.

Think of the classic multiplayer maps you have played on any game, and they are usually fairly simple, with a chokepoint in the middle, with 2 or 3 ways to get to that choke point.

Estate, Highrise, Scrapyard, skidrow, sub base, Terminal all spring to mind with only about 3 different main paths in the map.

And none of this clutter all over the place like in interchange, downturn and Bakaara.

Lag comp, please let it be good news.
Was just going to post about that tweet.
I really hope they sort it out as it's only the lag comp that is ruining it for me. And switching host between matches. I'm sick of getting into a lobby and doing well, staying in for the next match and then not being able to kill anybody so I leave  It's too hard to get a decent run of games. At least in MW2 if you got in a lobby with a decent host then you'd just stay in it.

Some of these maps are just terrible for people laying down and waiting for you to come around a corner... I've just had a game where a guy was laid down at the back of Fallen with an M16 for the entire game, the line of sight was just too big for me to get anywhere near him without dying and there was only 1 way to flank him and his team were camping and spawning there.

So as soon as I got a predator I nailed him with it even though I could have got a triple kill instead, I should have gone for the others but I just had to kill the camping tossbag.

Tried out 4 new lines of sight tonight that are extremely effective and I am not going to share :p

on another note I have no idea why oneshot actually chooses not to put his mic on at all, i'm finding it the most frustrating annoying thing ever, as It is so detrimental to the game that without it it feels like a handicap the amount of times I have been shouting down the mic (pointless atm) trying to let you guys know there is a flanker or someone coming up behind you is unbelievable, so much so that I have not been enjoying the game half as much. One I think you guys caught in the final killcam when I saw three guys coming up on Ghimph as he dropped his sam turret on Village luckily I dropped all three of them as they were running herp derp together

Anyway new cable ordered today and it can't come soon enough. Also anybody that just chooses to mute people in the lobby for no reason is gonna get kicked from the party for the same reason as above from now on if your playing with me (as to be frank what is the point in playing together if were gonna mute each other). (Alrik I understand the mischief thing :P)

That spot on Dome would be easy enough to get around though since there is another way you could run to avoid his line of sight and it's not just 1 big wide open space, the place where the camper sat was untouchable unless you had semtex.

In another game the enemy had the most amazing spawns... I kill somebody just for his team mate to spawn directly behind me and the guy I shoot at the beginning spawns at the top of the map with a direct line of sight on me :o

.......video.........
Subbed............. oh hang on

No point in subbing anything, I only made the account to show crap like that happening, since a short clip is better then trying to explain exactly what happend. Also Youtube is retarded for not letting you have spaces or underscores in your account name, since apparently my Gamertag was already taken on Youtube for some odd reason.

I don't mute you for no reason. I only talk to friends online not randoms.

I mute people in the lobby all the time because there is always 1 or 2 people louder then everything else including the game and you can't hear anything, I realise I'm one of those people, but as I've said before if I'm being loud mute me because I do exactly the same.

It's hard to hear when you and SADAM are having yelling matches over one another just because one of you got a double kill, even when I adjust the levels between the game/voice volume on the mixamp it's still really difficult to hear.

I keep my headset switched on but muted & laying on the desk next to me, This way I don't hear anybody & don't get caught out by a late loud joiner, I can also pick up my headset & abuse my team when they are acting like Lemmings. :D

You don't have to expain yourself lol, I'm on about people joining and just muting everyone else except for one person who they then end up having a convo with about random stuff and all we get to hear is one side, pointless annoying and quite frankly rude (I understand some people have it set to friends only but 2 clicks and they are chatting along also) Considering in the first place they have been invited to play along with other people. I'm not bothering with it anymore and am going to kick them straight off before the game starts. Oh and btw it doesn't happen with people off here tbh anyone from here playing is generally quite friendly and good fun to play alongside with :) and 9/10 good banter is to be had.

I often do have to explain or people don't understand and take offense, which is why I do it. People are far too sensitive and take offense to anything I say so it's just easier to mute them rather then ask them to STFU, Just look what happend with fangzy when I asked him to stop complaining about us capturing domination flags while he's trying to spawn trap them, he had a massive **** fit over nothing.

Another great example of why I mute people was the ground war game from the other day where we had 8 people in the party all yelling over one another and I couldn't hear anything so 3 people got muted just so I could hear and play the game. I think there was another in the party who wasn't even playing with us, he was on Skyrim so he got muted too.

I mute everyone who isn't in my party, but unmute the other team so I can hear them rage when killed.

All I ever hear is people from England arguing about football teams or insulting everyone who isn't English, people from Scotland generally just swearing at people, people from Northern Ireland and Ireland slagging each other off over religion/terrorism, foreigners constantly talking with magic extra loud mics, children being generally loud and annoying and finally the people who just play crap music the whole time. If none of my party mates are online everyone gets muted.

I do find it a bit churlish when people are effectively muting themselves from part of a party via privacy settings. I can see the point for MW2 where it's a kind of pseudo party chat, but it wouldn't work for me since in some cases I just have the regular party leader on my friends list and some people also have full friends lists or won't accept a friends request ;).

It wasn't quite the same without The General on the mic :p

May as well keep your headset on then :p
My friends was playing Sabotage yesterday and she said she got abuse for planting a bomb as it spoilt the game for the people that were kill farming  Don't you just love the COD community?

Some good games last night, hearing Alrik rage made me feel better about my own mishap a couple of nights ago :p

Love playing with the OcUK guys, since joining in with you lot, have raised my K/D by 0.2, doesn't sound a lot, but in my it's a decent increase :D

Yea been some cracking games the last few days, my KD on TDM has gone from 0.69 up to 1.75 which I'm dead pleased about. Still die a little too much sometimes, when that happens I just have to take deep breaths and not keep going back to that campers tent :D

Yea was weird the other night, I added Kreeee to friends but still couldn't hear him in the party so was strange hearing someone just randomly talking to themselves :D I don't mind though if I can't hear someone just hard when you're like "behind you" or something :D

Still really enjoying this CoD, the spawns are a little sketch, I kid you not one map I spawned, literally took 1 step and there was a sniper from the other team standing there.
