Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

I did not see the One Show as I was working, but apparently he said something supporting the strikes but then said as he was on the BBC and needed to be impartial he added the "I'd shoot them in front of their families" quote.

To everyone who thinks Clarkson should be sacked.............

IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHATS ON TV, THEN CHANGE THE ****ING CHANNEL!

It was a joke anyway, and if you're not familiar with his sense of humour then where have you been?

I'm a public sector worker and I think the backlash over his comments are laughable.

For the pure reason Clarkson offends easyrider, means he is more than worth my license fee...

I wish he was allowed to cull his detractors, while listening to his iPod full of V8 noises...

ps3ud0

The quality of some of the replies in this thread from the people supporting Clarkson...Merely supports my theory of the uneducated lapping him up.

I noticed unison are complaining about clarkson saying stikers should be shot, but I clearly seen strikers with posters of cameron made to look like hitler who committed atrocious genocide. Double standards, no? Or does freedom of speech only apply to those who agree with unison.

Clarkson is great and he displays his pride for britain regularly, national treasure if you ask me.

7pm weekday stating people should be shot in front of their families is acceptable?

I think you've taken his comment far too seriously. He says all kinds of things like this, doesn't mean he really believes it or is going to carry it out. It's just his character.

He's offensive ,unfunny and out of touch with reality.

Last night on The One Show Clarkson stated about the public sector strikes "I'd have them all shot. I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families."

"I mean, how dare they go on strike when they've got these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living."

Completely not, he is spot on, lazy ass public workers ( at least half of em). Do something useful instead of wasting taxpayers money.

The ''I'd have them all shot'' is to far but: ''how dare they go on strike when they've got these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living'' is completely true and I also think they are whiny little *****. In bad economic times people like this should be hit hard, rather than the hardworking person who is actually contributing to the economy rather than wasting it's money on useless stuff. Government/public sector needs to shrink not grow and bureaucracy should be kept as low as possible.

Yeah I have a strong dislike for nanny state who wants to control everything.

So I pay my licence fee for Clarkson to plug his DVD and denounce public sector workers?
Guy probably earned much more for BBC than he costs, Top Gear is showed on commercial TV channels abroad and they have dvd's. I'm willing to bet they actually lower your license fee. TG would easily be profitable when not with the BBC.

As if I needed more affirmation, you're one of my top most annoying users on here ezyrider.

Does that mean I think you should be banned because I find you annoying and a bore?
Nope - I'll just go about my merry way and not read your threads and responses.

(see what I did there?)
