Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

Of course it's back peddling.
Your beef shouldn't be with JC, it should be with the show.

Either it's acceptable before watershed or not.
Your argument makes no sense and as that article points out. It is a very standard saying in English language. It's not odd or new to say it.

But of course that doesnt for in with your hatred, so it's dismissed.

Outrage over reaction to Clarkson reaction reactions
01-12-11

BRITAIN was trapped in a 'death spiral' of infinite complaints last night.

Your opinion about his opinions is the most important thing in the world

The vortex of indignation began just after 7pm when Jeremy Clarkson, the country's highest ranking oaf, presented, without a hint of irony, his detailed plan to shoot public sector workers in front of their families.

Within moments Tony Parsons, the official Left-Wing Clarkson, said people who criticise public sector workers were Nazis while, John Prescott, the former Lord High Oaf, said his successor was guilty of a 'hate crime'.

In turn Parsons was accused of outrageous anti-Semitism while Prescott was forced to deny being deputy leader of the Khmer Rouge during the 1970s.

Seconds later the country was straining at the limits of its 140 character allowance in a bid to react to the reaction reactions in a way that was guaranteed to provoke a reaction.

Bill McKay said: "People who compare strike critics to Nazis should be gassed and cremated as part of a huge, secret plan to wipe out Nazi-comparers."

Helen Archer said: "Anyone who thinks Nazi-comparers should be gassed is worse than Jeffrey Dahmer and should be raped in prison three times a day."

Nikki Hollis said: "People who say Nazi-comparers are worse than Jeffrey Dahmer want to rip my mother's heart out, eat it and puke it into a bucket which they...[new tweet] ...will then use to paint the front of my house."

Meanwhile Tom Logan, who suggested that Clarkson's original comment was, perhaps, an advert for a DVD, was accused of being a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Logan also suggested that instead of reacting to Clarkson reaction reactions we should, perhaps, come up with some stuff we can sell to foreigners before we all end up busking in front of each other.

His house was then burned to the ground.

Last night a spokesman for the United Nations said: "Britain needs to go **** itself in the face."

I don't agree with his comments but I laughed, a fair bit. Especially when he talked about not stopping for people who throw themselves in front of trains. :D

He should be taken as he normally is - with a huge pinch of salt. If you don't do that then IMO, the problem lies with you.

All this has done is reinforced my opinion that unions are run by the biggest ****ers the world has to offer.

No it's not, it's an extension of the first.
It's quite clear he didn't mean it and that it is part of a perfectly nor al and except able saying..
Over reaction, then you have aimed that over reaction at the wrong person.
It's his trademark, it's no secret or surprise.
Why was he invited on the show if he isn't suitable for said show. That's where your disgust should be aimed. Getting them to review their vetting process. Not calling for someone to be sacked. Sacked from what a guest appearance.

Total overreaction.

Instead of shielding your kids from these sorts of comments/things why not use it to your advantage? If something comes on TV that you do not approve of and you think is bad for your kids why not tell them that's bad and teach them a little from right and wrong.

I am in no way implying you don't know how to raise children what so ever I am just saying use this sort of thing. I remember when Rambo was first shown on TV, I was living with my grandparents (my parents died when I was 6) and I begged them to let me stay up and watch it after all the kids in school was talking about it that day. They didn't and I had to go to bed. However they woke me up before it started and said I can watch it only if I can answer a few questions they are going to ask about the movie afterwards. I said yes. So I watched it with them. They kept saying am I all right, and my granddad told me how things were done in the movie as it was shown, such as how the blood was ejected from the body when people were shot and what certain words meant. He was softening the blow a film like this could have on me as a young child. He was telling me the right from wrong.

From that night every film or swear word I saw or heard I knew what it meant and wasn't phased by it. I never used violence or swore at school and I knew what was real and what wasn't.

Explain to your kids what people mean when they say silly things. You know what JC meant and you full well know he wouldn't condone such a thing to actually take place. So instead of moaning about it explain it to your kids.

Didn't watch the show yesterday but I just watched the repeat on the news. If anyone found this rude or offensive then frankly you should be executed.

The fact he was joking was so crystal clear that it actually baffles me that this is a "thing". Seriously get over it.

Well if thats your response to a well written 750 word argument. I think I shall back out of this thread.

Good day to you.

You obviously haven't been in many Easyrider threads. Generally he starts a topic and then gives his own opinion, which of course in his eyes is the only valid one.

Any attempt to question this gets shouted down. Any attempt to discuss it gets shouted down. Any attempt to present a decent and structured argument gets shouted down.

It was the same when he posted in GC. Whatever Easyrider owned was THE BEST and that was that, any attempt to suggest otherwise was generally just shouted down.

See a pattern? It's almost quite amusing really. :D

Anyone who takes what he is saying as gospel is a moron.

Obviously said tongue in cheek. Haters gona hate.

Long live Clarkson, the day he stops presenting is the day anti-'political correctness' dies

Jeremy Clarkson in massive **** shocker. He's 100% rectum and exceedingly rich. His comments should be taken with a grain of salt, although I do agree that the BBC need to tell him to shut up.

He went on the show to plug his DVD

And quite frankly talking about execution in front of the family is not an extension on the saying " he should be shot"
