first it was the rubbish textures and HIDIOUSLY crap shadows.... not to mention the bugs...

And now after the patch no stats on armor that actually work and dragons flying weirdly plus had a few people float and fly in the air... it felt more like a super hero game from DC or Marvel that was BROKEN than a quality RPG...

I mean game designers are getting lazy its all about the milking of ££££ and not about quality any more... games are comming fast and thick but all of ***** quality...

i remember when i went into that tower on the first golden claw quest if i remember correctly and walked into the tower to see snow outside comming right through brick walls that thing alone killed it... "bullet snow"

sorry about the rant im just disapointed with the title and games recently in general...

i take it you never palyed morrowind/ oblivion in the early days.
bethesda have to make a program that will run on multiple types of systems, os etc, there are going to be bugs.
yes the patch was a big step back but i trust the devolpers/community to bring out a decent patch in teh near future.
Sooner the modding tools are released the better tbh

Its a great game. Also, this doesn't deserve its own thread really, put it in the general Skyrim thread.

Bethesda and bugs go hand in hand - ALWAYS. That said, I've yet to try my game since the patch so I hope it's intact!

Probably deservedly GOTY. Whilst the bugs are frustrating, you may want to reflect on how stupidly good a game needs to be to get you this upset about it being broken.

dont get me wrong i love a good RPG and the morrowing/elder scorlls games...

Lets take Witcher 2 for e.g. great rpg that wasnt glitched and bugged from the get go and that was from a smaller developing company unlike bethesda...

Yes previous elder scrolls were buggy but not for this long maby they should polish it before release...

I can rant on forever i mean its a pretty game when you look from afar but when you get down to the nitty gritty textures its poor for a current game yes the community will fix it and polish it BUT why should they when the companys cant be asked in the first place and deliever a sub par quality...

The Witcher 2 is a different type of game to an ES title. The latter is incredibly free roaming vs the linear on the rails'esq title that is Witcher 2.

There's just a billion variables to an ES title, of which any can go wrong, probably the most complex of game titles that comes to mind right now.

I know what you mean by buggy, however I've had zero bugs since the start. Fallout 3 was the same experience for me, marred by shoddy GFWL. With regards to the graphics, they are superb too - some textures are poor close up but at max detail levels they really are superb imo.

So far the GOTY for me, and I'm just a lowly Lv29 char who has yet to choose a 'side' in the game.

Christ, wait for the Snivelling Isles expansion. It sounds right up your street.

As for the Witcher 2, over-rated, linear hack and slash with the same old "locked room until you defeat all the bad guys then the door somehow unlocks" mechanics. Skyrim is completely different.

/agree

ctd? 0
graphical bugs? next to 0, certainly not immersion breaking
poor textures? in places - do I care? nope, not in the slightest

Best game for me since Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines & that's saying something as I thought DX:HR was damn good too^^

Don't be ridiculous.

Agree totally different games, but come on the witcher 2 is a very good game. (what I have played anyway)
