8 weeks smoke free

Its not so much the vaping thats addictive its the nicotine, but also the hand mouth movement and vapor keeps me off the cigs

Yes that's what is worrying - It's almost a direct substitute to smoking as opposed to being a quit aid.

I get the feeling that weening yourself off the vape is going to take a lot longer than traditional NRT products like gum, patches etc which don't give you an instant fast nicotine hit nor have the mentally engraved hand mouth movements associated to them.

I think devices like this are very beneficial for the first few days to a week but I wouldn't like to continue with them if the end game is to be completely smoke and nicotine free.

Scenario

What would you do in the case where you've left your vape at home and are away for a few days due to an emergency ?

With me I could probably buy some gum to tide me over but had I been vaping I would be more inclined to buy some real cigs !

I bin em after say 4-5 days not bad for £1.50 ish some ppl boil them and reuse them but i never found them good after a boil.......each to there own :)
Just had some new juice delivered " vermillion river range" wow what taste :) atm on kentucky premium blend (tobbacco) my new all day vape and caramalized cappuccino (yummy)

got my carts today, will give it a test out soon :)

I used to smoke 20 a day and I am still tying to find the right strength for me, found the 24mg a bit too strong (which is a shame as I ordered 30ml RY4 when I started which tastes lovely), 14mg a bit too weak so got some 18mg grape to test that, hope it works well :)

Yeah I guess that is a problem, but real cigs taste like crap after you have been vaping for a while so maybe would be easier just to go without, or buy an emergency disposable e-cig lol

but yeah you would still have the cravings and would be easy to go back to real cigs

There's no "almost" about it. That's exactly what they are.

If you want to quit entirely and go absolutely nicotine free, then vaping isn't for you. If, however, you still want to get your nicotine without the stink, the horrid taste, the bad throat, the breathing difficulties and the shedload of other problems that smoking tobacco provides then vaping is, indeed, for you.

Too many people seem to think that we vapers do it because we're trying to quit. "So how much longer are you going to be using that thing for, then?" is a question that is starting to make my blood boil.

I have no intention of quiting vaping ....like someone said earlier in the thread its like having my cake and eating it, ok its not healthy by any means but its a damn site healthier than smoking and prob just as healthy as walking down the road in any city breathing car fumes.
I have not just quit smoking, i have changed to vaping

These 2 juices are next on my hitlist :D, don't think I've seen a bad review anywhere.
The best juice I've ever tried is Titan RY4 from totally wicked...love that stuff.

Good luck m8......first attempt? or vetran :)

First attempt, kinda. Had my first cig at 10, smoking on and off since then, more frequently after 18 (24 now), but I never considered myself a smoker. After realising I was smoking about 10 a day (a lot for me) regularly I realised that I was no different to any other smoker and that helped.

First day went okay, went into the garage on my way home for bread and came out with just bread :o I guess my mental addiction is thankfully less strong as someone who has been smoking 20 a day for 20 odd years.

Just got myself a Multi Mod, runs at 3.7v and upto 4.2v with a pass through. Absolutely superb. Losing a bit of flavour using 510 LRs but the throat hit is worth it. The battery lasts me like 3 days and I vape pretty heavily.

Waiting for my FreedomSmoke Caramel Apple to settle down a bit then ill be set.

Ry4 PG will keep me going till then.

I've been a 20+ a day smoker for 15 years, not had a cig whatsoever since 12th May and before that I was down to 3 a day.

This is a brilliant alternative considering I had zero intentions of quitting cigs. Got my sense of smell and taste buds back and drifted away from tobacco liquids now, they taste rubbish. Like my sweet PG juices.

The trick is to get a higher powered PV and not bother with those retarded quit e-cig kits. I bought two of them and never quite got there. Got myself an eGo with XL batteries and the cigs stops, picked up this Multi Mod and it's just pure pleasure.

Updates? Anyone cave in and start agaion. Anyone had the odd cheeky one?

For me, tomorrow will be exactly 8 months without having a single cigarette. No weight gain, thankfully, mainly due to cycling to work. Not smoking makes this a whole lot easier of course.

I think I've found it fairly easy as I've stopped being around people who smoke a lot and rarely drink alcohol now.

Overall I'm fitter than I've been in 10 years, healthier and less poor as I've saved myself £1k since April by not smoking which has paid for the bike I bought back then.

Could never just manage a cheeky one without going back to it full time.

Went through several cycles of giving up - restarting and giving up over the year.

A couple of weeks back I became alarmed at the amount I was smoking but couldn't come up with a plan to stop so I .............................

Interesting .... Just don't get me into vaping - reading about it is tempting me :o :D

 Now vape. It's clean and I've stopped coughing my guts out. Been vaping for a week and a half now. No desire to smoke real cigs whatsoever
