Muslim girl gang who kicked young woman in the head while yelling 'kill the white ****' escape jail after judge hears 'they weren't used to drinking because of their religion'

A gang of Muslim girls who repeatedly kicked a young woman in the head walked free from court after a judge heard they were 'not used to being drunk' because of their religion.

The group screamed 'kill the white ****' while kicks raining in on 22-year-old Rhea Page as she lay motionless on the ground, the court heard.

The attackers - three sisters and their cousin - were told by a judge that normally they would have been sent to jail.

However, he handed the girls - all Somalian Muslims - suspended sentences after hearing that they were not used to alcohol because their religion does not allow it.

Now, obviously the Daily Mail have put their sensationalist anti-Muslim spin on things, but can that seriously be used as a defence? 'They weren't used to drinking, so...' :confused:

Religion really shouldn't get in the way of things in the courtroom. It doesn't (or shouldn't) hold up as an excuse.
 
If it was the other way round every one of them would have been found guilty on charges of a racist attack.

Seems odd, I know in Scotland that you can't use the diminished responsibility plea if it was brought around through drink and drugs. Prehaps in England it is different though. That's the only reasonable explanation I can think of.
 
LOL the judge i think needs to be locked up or better still never pass sentence as a judge again....what a complete and utter muppet the judge is, these girls should have been locked up for what is essentially a racist attack.
 
They shouldn't of been drinking anyway. Those girls should be locked up. They are drunk, it doesn't depict what Muslim women are like. As for the judge, he should have gave them a sentence and also give them some re-education about their own religion, disgusting tbh.
 
Alcohol or no alcohol, religion or no religion, racist or not racist....

They are criminals who severely assaulted another girl and they should have been punished accordingly, the Judge has made a serious error of judgement here.

As been said above, this should not be anything to do with race. They assaulted a person and should be stuck on trial for that, everything else taken off the table. Surely if the judge has made a decision which directly descends from their religion and culture he's been unfair to everyone else.

wtf? not all Muslim women wear the hijab and niqab. not all Muslim women stay at home and not all Muslims attack people out of the blue - like white people don't do this. >.<

How many times do you need to be told that the niqab is a cultural and not a religious item of clothing.....

And guess what, just because some crazy Somalian girls are psychotic doesn't mean all girls either from Somalia or who are Muslim are likewise...otherwise using that flawed logic you coukd say that because some white crazed loony from Norway killed 77 people, all white people, or all people from Norway are mass murderers.....

So is it okay for me to assault black people while screaming racial abuse because im Catholic? After all I only drink alcohol after its been transmuted into blood so im not used to being drunk either?
