What sort of cat is this?

We've got a Maine ****. He's 5 months old and already the same size as all our other adult cats and they take 2 years to fully grow.

Looks like our cat sort of:

But that one is a lot bigger...ours is a ragdoll I think or a Burman. Believe its a ragdoll :P

I have no idea, but it's pretty cool. I love the Scottish Wildcat, particularly those more adapted to the utter most northern snowy hills - they just look totally awesome (and a fair bit bigger than a domestic cat)...

Can you have those as pets or are they untameable, they look awesome.

EDIT: Just read that they're pretty much an endangered species with less than 400 in the wild! :O :( they look awesome, what a shame.

Yeah I agree they look awesome! They are affectionately known as the "Highland tigers". Sadly they are not for domesticating though, although there are a few in conservation projects that were picked up through whatever. That's rare though, they do not like humans and it's quite a feat to get good photo's like that.

Still want one, especially that one that looks like a gremlin! :D :(

Edit: Ah, see your edit. Pretty much. Think the future is looking ok for some of the breeds anyway, which is something at least.

It looks like a Maine **** to me. My mum wants one, I'm not sure it will actually fit in the house!
