The world has gone post apocalyptic: What skills do you bring to the table?

A deadly pandemic has wiped out 90% of the population of the planet and you just got lucky enough to survive. In the chaos and crazy that ensued the outbreak major world powers launch conventional (non nuclear) missles/bombs into all key installations (power stations, military bases, airports etc) utterly destroying them.

There is no organised government, there is no mass transit, no banks and no zombies/vampires.

What skills do you possess that might make you useful to keep you and people you might come across alive?

Can you gut a cow? Do you know the basics of irrigation? Do you know how to fix a car engine? Can you build a steam engine from scraps?

How useful or useless would you be for any band of survivors that you end up with?

Genetic engineering skills for some super crops and the ability to sue anybody, for anything, and win*!!!

(*or at least get a cash settlement).

assuming there are no computers working then the only thing i'd be good for is driving the supply car very quickly

I could sing to them and maybe help them if they have a Clinical Negligence claim.
I also have lots & lots of tools for repairing stuff.

Talent thread then basically,

I can drive, DJ, make electronic music (to a certain extent) make a football do pretty much anything I want it to and fix computers, hardware and software.

That's pretty much my pallette of skills.

I can put out fires simply by staring them down.

Serionsly (

) though, I am a pretty good first aider and served my time as a joiner before joining the Fire Service. I would be capable of building shelters for anyone who needed one. A decade of working as a steward also allows me to control situations and defuse them fairly well.

All round capable guy.

Numeracy, creativity, and an ability to thrive in low temperature environments.

I'm pretty handy with building and designing stuff as well.

I know most operating equipment and what they do.

No idea how to use them mind, otherwise I would be a surgeon.

i honestly wouldnt want you to design me a building, unless you did it for free which i guess you would? hmm thats a tough one i guess..

maybe some people would ask you for help..

i could build my own home though and no-one would be around to stop me either, which would be nice..

building drains is basic.. in my spair time i re-built a 205gti over 4 year, total strip down and re-build so could fix up a car but would their be any petrol left?

im a very hands on person but apart from making things and building things im not sure how i'd find food if farmers all got wiped out.

I'm an electrical engineer, have passable bush-survival skills, can rebuild/maintain almost anything mechanical and try to maintain stocks of "End-of-civilisation" supplies like Superglue, tape and glowsticks.

I also have a copy of Pocket Ref and am quite a passable marksman.

Basic chemistry, biology and physics, to make weapons and know how to launch them.
I'm not a bad diy'er so could build, and farm.
Basic to intermediate mechanical skills.
Trained fighting knowledge if I need to amass and army of ninjas.
I can work out almost anything without instructions

Born leadership/dictator skills
No remorse or fear of killing and death (when the jobs needs doing in apocoloto style warfare)

If it's zombie apocalypse then I would have those hungry dead on lock down.

If it's me vs other humans, you better run.

We'll there would still be generators and whatever fuel was left in the country. You'd have to find it though and people might argue that a computer is a waste of the limited energy you have left.
