I'm looking at the OCUK kits, just for the cooling of a CPU at the moment, and I was wondering if there would be any reason to buy the V12 over the V8?

Cheers.

Hi B1gbeard

your signature is a bit big, Im not going to change it but could you take a look at the signature rules in the testing forum

the ocuk kits are very high end, a v8 kit would do a great job of cooling just your cpu. the double radiator would be all that is required to get exceptional temperatures.

if you planned on including gpus into the loop in future then the v8 may be a better option but you would likely need another 240 radiator to add some more cooling.

it essentially depends on the case you plan on using :)

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry about the sig, will look now.

I have a HAF-X so it will all be going in there. Don't want anything external of the case if possible.

i would get a 360 up top.

if you get a smaller one you will regret it later down the line

+1

The HAF X can easily accommodate an EX rad with 6 GT's

V12 would be my suggestion.

Bear in mind, the rad will intrude into the top bay, it'll be fine if it's just a fan controller there

thought you were banned lol

i have a haf 932 and a rx360 and 6 yateloons and there is still room

so if you get the 360 rad you can always add the gpu later then if you add another gpu for sli/xfire then you can put a 120 on the back like i have all fits nice no modding

EDIT also about what cleeecooo said about the rad going into the bay. it does go into the bay but you will still have room for a dvd writer and a fan controller (thats what i have) you could also get another 2 dvd drivers in there if you put the tubes inlet/outlet on there rear end of the case if not you have room for 3 things

another 120 won't be needed, but it's nice to have :D

I found that the rad covered about 1/2 of the top bay
