Another tram experience... 96 year old WW2 veteran beat by a black man, gets no jail time

Why was he even standing on the tram? No-one even offered him a seat.

Some people today are truly disgusting.

The fact he's a WW2 veteran and the guy is black means that the media will love this story.

gordon will be lucky now to not be gang mugged and killed

black white yelllow green makes no odds thats disgusting, and id say the same if it was some chav scummer

Karate is a tin pot slef defence when it comes to street fights.

Anyone can be a bouncer, draggin out drunk people is easy. For some reason I pictured you as a Asian Raul Moat for a second :D

So you think that getting into street fights is something to be proud about? Is this something that you do often?

I can kind of imagine it, with you being the person starting of such fights and using them to brag about how macho you think your violence makes you.

The majority of street fights happen to be caused by people who are drunk. I doubt that they would be able to stand up to a person who is currently active in learning Karate and at a reasonably high standard.

Whats an oap?

And I've never had to experience seeing a person getting the **** kicked out of them, as I dont tend to put myself in such places where this would happen.

Just to comment on this again, I would be genuinely amazed if you, or any other drunken loutish 'street fighter' could possibly manage to stand up to these guys:

Why? What you posted is exactly the same thing, but form the utter tripe that is the BBC trying to claim that a '3 year supervision order' is an appropriate punishment..

How is the BBC article claiming anything is appropiate...it simply reported that he was given a 3 year supervision order.

Incidently it also mentions that he used abusive language prior to the assault.

Because I didnt even realize it was the same article as the OPs and thought it was presenting the information from a different viewpoint.

Old Age Pensioner...OAP.

I can't fathom how you didn't know that.

I know what an old age pensioner is thank you, I dont however know every single acronym in the world.

Incidently it also mentions that he used abusive language prior to the assault.

*In any case where an assault had not followed abusive language* ... Boo hoo, cry me a river. I suppose you would crack a few skulls in or call the cops if you heard someone swearing, judging by what you say.

Touchy little fella aren't you.

You asked what an OAP was, I told you. It is a very, very common acronym used on a daily basis, both in the media and in general, which is why I was surprised you did not know what it meant.

Its not a general acronym used on a daily basis in my life, nor have I come across it before in any media, how shocking that must be to you.

I got nothing wrong with people from different countries coming here, but it's very clear the divisions multiculturalism has caused. If Gaddaffi was smart enough to realize it's used as a weapon to destroy single cultures then we should be aware too.

I was up in Sheffield few years back, went into part of the city and it was graffitied ' pakis only ' (written by the Asians not White people) marking their territory.

OAP is a very common acronym used in everyday language, it is also used commonly in official documentation and throughout local and national Govt...not to mention the media.

And yes, I am surprised that you haven't heard it, that is no reason for you to get all aggressive and belligerant at me though.
