1471 and for some bizarre reason 1471 told me the number consisted entirely of zero's.

It's what companies do to test when you are in your house.
When you answer it then records which time you were available, it then does it a couple of times over a peroid of time to determine the average time you are at home, they then sell this info.

The tip for real cold callers is to not hang up, as this is also what they use. You can just ask them loads of questions or tell them about your life, but it wastes their time and if you have some time to waste can be quite funny. If it's a proper business they'll be told that they can't end the call, only you can.

We get loads of cold calls and the goodbye one is different.
