INCREDIBLE effort from Martin!

MASSIVE THANKS!

I mean seriously... seriously impressive service! :god: :smack:

food and drinks and hotel and everything all on me tonight mate :) as usual ;)

What's the point of timing the cams up on a dummy block? Unless the block the head is destined for has identical dimensions (and by the look of it it may well have been decked) then the timing will need to be done all over again.

Just read this entire thread - that's the most impressive build I've ever seen. Nice one

A video of it on track at Bedford at 1.5 bar boost which isn't full boost!

Some seriously scary moments in that vid 1:24ish - well held ;)

On a side note - lovely looking Ferrari parked outside your house too in some of the previous pics.

Christ that thing shifts, Some of those sideways moments were dam well held as you don't have a massive amount of lock to play with on these little things.

:)

I'm not going to "LOLROBBIEG" you just yet, but I am going to try and explain:

A 7 with a massive engine up front will unsettle the natural balance of the car. I suspect it is way away from the positive 50:50 weight distribution. Add to that that with more speed comes the need to get rid of it, so, beefier, heavier brakes are required to scrub off that speed. Enter a corner fast in this, and the back end will go horribly light resulting on you oversteering in, understeer during (as the anchor engine balances back) and then oversteering on the way out as you try and apply power down.

Take a normal 7 with a s2000 lump, or ecotec or similar. Still pushing 250-300bhp. It's far more balanced in the corner where you can drive around the corner on the throttle, smoothly, with perhaps a little chirp of the rear end on the way out.

I suspect on most UK tracks, the latter would be the more fun to drive and lap times would be marginally different

Great vid, properly hammering that thing around there hanging the ass out, awesome :D

Has Porkie still got his Skyline and the 3-door Cossy Ish?

Both the above are sold. I think he has the Westfield, Lotus Exige S track car, clio 172 track car and a Ferrari F430
