Just a heads up,
My mother-in law has just called me to let me know that some ***** are working in the Chester area robbing dogs that are off their leads in parks or left outside shops.
Pulling up on the side of the road and snatching dogs that are off their lead walking ahead of the owner / walker.
She was speaking to some pof her dog walking friends in the park on Thursday who told her.
I never ever leave Moses my dog unattended anyway, nor do I let him off his lead on a walk, but this is still something that worries me.
If you life around Chester area please be aware, I'm sure its not just related to this area too.
Keep your dogs safe !

How odd, I assume it's just expensive dogs they're stealing? Or are they for curries?

I heard a story about a woman who was eating a curry and then started chocking, eventually she coughed up the microchip from a retired greyhound. Yummy!

They are robbing dogs? How does that work, exactly? Do they hold them still with the leash and steal their little wallets?

Not as uncommon as you may think, same thing happened at a Chinese takeaway in my town lol

TBH, tying your dog up outside a shop is dumb anyway (I know sometimes you have to do it) but still. If you leave your dog/baby/car/phone etc.... unattended for an extended amount of time, expect it to be eaten/sold/on bricks/stolen when you get back. It's the society we live in today, everybody wants something for free

On a more serious note, I'd love to see someone try and steal my girlfriends Rottweiler, they'd fail, and be minus a few fingers too

joking aside, ive heard of this happening for a few years now. its absolutely disgusting that someone could steal other peoples pets for the tiny amount of money they would make by selling it on

I don't think they're selling them on, I thought they were being stolen to be used as training bait for fighting dogs?

Some ****** in our area tried to steal a litter of chiwowwas (comedy spelling :p)
Police got all but one back so far, Some woman was letting everybody know on one of the selling pages I use on Facebook.
