Man of Honour Nomination....

Surely Stulid would be a shoo-in this year, he contributes massively to GH.

(Ha, nearly wrote shoe-in but thought to check first, said it many times but never had to write it or thought before about what it actually means:p)

This. I just can't see how there would be anyway he wouldn't get MoH.

Well if we're nominating people i'd nominate PCM2, the resident monitor guru, i don't think there's anything about monitors he doesn't know and he always seems to be happy to help.

My nominees would be

PCM2
Stulid
Drunken master
Surveyor

(no offence castiel, I've just never seen you post outside GD)

Ofcourse, these are only people who I recognise from the sub forums I frequent.

I was going to say that Stulid was long overdue, then i looked at his join date. Now i feel old ;):p

I don't often go in GH any more, i used to quite a lot but i sort of lost interest, plus i don't get tempted to spend hundreds on upgrades (which i probably should, but my overclock and new graphics card should tide me through... indefinitely).

I think the OP is wanting people to nominate himself.

See, I don't understand this.....why would I even make the shortlist? I post predominantly in GD and SC, whereas Stulid and others contribute something tangible to the forums in the hardware sections (which would be the raison d'etre of the forum I should think)

I was genuinely asking the question, not to garner support, but to A: find out how it works (thanks to SPW for the answer) and B: Whether we, as a community should or could have a modicum of input to the choices made....

Haha, god I seem to be laughing a lot tonight.

Seriously though, I think it's a good idea. The members should know who deserves it, after all.

I'd like to nominat myself in my semi tipsy state....

But I like the idea of mods doing it for some reason....

I don't think anyone who feels the need to put their initials at the end of every post they make despite the fact we can all see what their username is should win any award tbh. :p

imo ofc.... :p

It comes from a long tradition of people in gaming communities where I use king damager as a username... Basically everywhere, of people not being bothered and then sticking to kd. I prefer it over the alternatives of 'king' and 'damager' which are annoying frequent alternatives. The 'kd' is much more adult in my mind than the name I created when I was about 14, but have too much emotional attachment to get rid of xD

I don't fully understand but I wish you all the best, KD. :p:D

Well....look who's shown up......;)
Thought I'd pop in; this superhero work is terribly tiring.

I'll shoot you an e-mail in the next week or so.

However, I stand by my statement: I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Wait, that may be the wrong one. Oh well. It'll do.

1st January. Threads started for 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2006. I couldn't find 2007 from a quick search so I'd guess it either wasn't started by Spie or it has been pruned.

I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with people nominating whoever they want but the decision is ultimately one for Spie to make.

2007

There should be at least one Man of Honour "award" by members every year.
