This problem has really been bugging me for a very long time...

I have had a very crappy computer just a year ago, as well as a crappy keyboard. The keyboard was the major thing that was causing my headaches, and it still is.

I had a PS/2 keyboard which had buttons that would not work. Would it be single letters or the caps lock/enter buttons. I would have to bash it really hard for the buttons to work, they would eventually but then again after a couple of minutes they would not work again. So I decided I must buy a new keyboard. About bloody time.

(I ended up buying the Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000.)

So, the keyboard did work for a while, until again the same thing happened on my old computer, the buttons would being not work and I would end up bashing the keyboard again....

So finally I bought a new computer which I built myself, hoping this problem would stop happening!

But no, here I am still and the USB keyboard is having the same problems. I have no idea why, new computer, everything is new! Why would this problem be happening? Is it the drivers? Two different computers and the same problem on two keyboards...

Someone help, it's becoming a nightmare playing games with me having to bash the keyboard for them to work!

:(

There is not something getting behind the keys by any chance so they do not push down all the way?(staples/food etc.) It could be children etc. not your own acions.

Sounds like if you are too heavy handed with your keyboard if its always a key problem.

Try spending a bit more on a mechanical keyboard! Noise buggers but definately a nicer feel when your bashing them. I got one included in my computer and love it :)

more on the useful note rather than stupid comments.

What devices have you got plugged in that you had on the old computer? While you may have been heavy handed on both keyboards there is also the chance that something else is conflicting with them. Try remove any devices external or internal if needed that you had in the last computer and see if it makes any difference.
