Has anyone ever listened back to Girls Aloud when they first won Popstars the Rivals? They couldn't sing for ****!

These girls will do OK with some more vocal training I reckon. Good luck to them - didn't vote tonight and didn't really care who won but hope they will succeed because they seem like nice girls.

Well, at least Marcus now has a chance of carving out a career.

Little Mix will be prohibited from releasing a (real) single for a year and by that time, people's support for them will have wilted. We have seen this time and time again, including last year's winner - Matt Cardle

I can see them doing well tbh, they will have the young market and I think that will keep them going.

I am a bit shocked Cardle hasn't done better he was a pretty decent singer.

Yep.

They have to get the right material and the right team backing/managing them.

A lot of artists feel that once they have won XFactor, that they have "made it". This is not the case and XFactor is merely a platform to propell your career. The hard work begins now.

JLS are what Little Mix must aspire to being, but they will have to work their behinds off to achieve that sort of success.

They're coming in at just the right time. The Saturdays seem to be fizzling out and with one of them going on maternity leave soon they'll be out of the picture so it's ripe for another girl group to step in. The record company doesn't have to do any promotion cos people know them already. They've got it made.

Marcus would suit the West End musical scene.

Many XFactor finalists have gone on to West End/Musical/Theatre, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's the direction he goes.

I've never liked the XFactor XMAS singles and I don't like this year's one either.

Little Mix's En Vogue cover of "Can't Let Go", was a better song.

Apparently Marcus never won a single week.
J.Devlin won the most (I think she won the first 4 weeks).

Pretty amazing stats. After watching both shows tonight, I'll predict there'll be no Kelly Rowland next year, she just doesn't look interested at all.

Have to say based on tonight's and last night's show, Little Mix deserved it. They were much better. If they aren't ruined by the X-Factor machine I think they'll do well. This may sound strange, but they have an advantage being a group, I think it's harder for a soloist to carve out a career for themselves. But if you can put together a decent group you're already half way there.

I think what happened with Janet, was that at first a lot of people found her very cute (remember she is still a child). Then as the weeks progressed, people got bored of her...especially when we got to the later rounds and things get more serious.

I wonder if Amelia will do anything in the music industry.

Janet's vote was probably pretty stable throughout, she had a massive vote in Ireland(like Mary last year), whereas over here it was split up, as soon as the field narrowed she was in trouble.

Well not to worry guys! Marcus has lost but will rise to stardom and the girls will vanish for 12months and then fade into obsurity.

Its kinda funny how the loosers on this show always come out trumps lol.
