New GFX card time £160 max

Hi,
OcUK have just let me know they are refunding my OcUK ATI 6850 1Gb, this was a bargin offer of 130 quid (ish).
This card isn't available any more, what should I be looking at?

Nvidia: all the 560Ti are a good 50 quid on top of that. Worth finding the extra cash?

I'm currently gaming on 1600 * 1050 screen, and not likley to upgrade for a while.

There's not much in it between the two tbh. ATI slightly better at some games, nvidia others. Go with the 6870 for now and see what next gen brings.

Last time i checked, 169-143= 26, not 50

Its 50 odd on top of my refund! I'm adding a bit more to get the HiS card anyhow.
Just trying to work out if its worth that much more.

I wouldn't bother mate. Absolutely nothing in it in real life. Especially at the res you will be playing at. The 6870 is a cracking card at that price.

ISn't HIS supposed to be terrible RMA/Service? Or is OCUK handling all HIS RMAs? I'd look into this before deciding.

Looks like OCUK is handling it so should be okay.

6870 and 560Ti are both great cards. The Ti is better, but not by much. If it was still at last week's price of £157 I would have said pay the extra, but I would probably go with the 6870 at current prices.

Get a second hand 480GTX from the MM for £160 mark. Will blow anything else out of the water for that price point. Last few have sold around that price also.

Wouldn't really say that was blowing a 6870 out of the water. Plus it runs hotter and consumes for more power under load.

I personally wouldn't want to buy a second hand card for that money.
