I've not cleaned the Scott yet since I last rode her in the middle of October :(

Need to do that between Xmas and NY. She'll probably get a full strip down and rebuild over two days.

Commuter gets a quick wipe with an oily rag most nights just to remove most of the crap when I'm GT85ing the cassette and oiling the chain. Rear mech jockey wheels could do with a clean and I want to check the BB soon in the New year.

Also want to service the hubs on my commuter wheels; 6,000 miles without being looked at probably isn't great.

The gloves are Castello diluvio in l/xl. Used them for 20 minutes to ride home from the shop. £24 + postage which wouldn't be much?

Had to change out.my bb today as it was getting rough. three and a half months and 2100 miles and its gone.

Sitting in east kilbride train station getting a train to Glasgow. Weather is not fun and I now have a tub of celebrations hanging from my bars lol.

No worries. They can be a pain in the backside to remove when full of dirt and grime but I still use powerlinks/missing links.

What are you riding?

I take Embankment from New Kings Road to Blackfriars so I cover the two CS8 sprint sections from Albert Bridge to Vauxhall Bridge and then Vauxhall to Lambeth Bridge.

Generally on a silver titanium Burls, red helmet and orange rucksack with a fibre flare light on it (possibly two if the weather is bad). Don't worry about asking if I'm Asprilla; I'm a member of the Bikeradar Embankment Silly Commuter Racers so I'm used to random people shouting weird things at me.

A white Fuji hybrid. I come from Wimbledon, over Chelsea bridge and into Embankment. Had to stop suddenly on the way home, put my left leg down and overstretched my calf and got epic cramp. :(

Newly Signed Up Member (Cyclist)

Hi Everyone,

Just signed up to Overclockers Forum! Specifically for the Cycling section, But realise there are just a few of us; and no real cycling section, although I'm pleased to be here; and hope to take part in the cycling chit-chat!

I ride both MTB XC and Road Cycling. Here's a photo of my newest acquisition : >

Now I'm going to read through all the posts on the Cycling Essentials Section.

Sweet bike Mostyn.
Welcome aboard. :D

On the food side of things I've found myself at the butty van every morning for the last few weeks. Sometimes just a mid morning sausage roll but that now seems to have turned into a bacon, sausage and egg stick. :o

Fatty :(

Me three on the clipless... I'm drinking too much at the moment which is keeping me hefty on the bike. Mince pies and mulled wine are awesome, though.

On the subject of weight. What sort of weight are you guys? I can't say I ever notice the difference in my weight when riding. If anything I prefer being heavier as I am usually stronger with it.

I am about 92kg at the moment and feel pretty good. I got up to about 98kg at one point. Did feel a bit weighty for my carbon frame at that point.
