What cool new gadget to buy my self

Your phone is fairly old and rubbish so get a new one. Galaxy Nexus, iPhone 4S, Nokia Lumia 800 or Galaxy Note (if you want to keep it big).
 
If you've got a gf, spend it on a holiday instead, might be able to go skiing somewhere cheap for that amount.

If you haven't got a gf, get yourself one and invest in some gadgets that she will appreciate ;)
 
Ipod Touch + Sennheiser HD595

...might be better players out there now, I haven't looked at mp3 players for ages.

Equally for the headphones, probably some better bang for the buck alternatives.
 
I stopped reading at Dell Streak. I didn't realises anybody could be fooled into actually buying one of those.

If you have about 400 to 1.2k then a projector.

It is without a doubt one of the best things I have ever purchased. I cannot go back to watching films or playing console/game pad pc games on anything else. Films are so much better aswell.

edit: I just saw your budget. You can get a good 720p projectors for that price, quite easily.
