Ok im in a bit of a pickkle im going to build a sandybridge E just after xmas probly the 1st week of january to hopfully get better deals and i want a GTX 580 either

Asus GeForce GTX 580 DirectCU II 1536MB

or this if i can strech my budget :D

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3072MB

but do i get one when i get everything else (1st week of january) or do i wait untill the new ATI/AMD cards come out and see if the GTX580 drops in price but i currently have no other card i could play games on as my current card is a 8800GTS which will not play current games on decent settings and i want to keep with Nvidia

so my 1st question is which card would you go for out of the 2 i have said or would you recomend a diffrent 580? would the asus have enough vram i will be buying a new monitor 24" 1080p 120hrz 3d (may not play 3d games initialy and would not be a major thing i will be doing but would like to try it out at some point)

and when should i upgrade?

your help and advice would be much apperciated

thanks

I'd probably revise the situation when you actually want to build it and decide then.

Either way, I'd be very tempted to wait for the 79xx series (whenever that might be).
