How many years of gaming is under your belt?


I'll kick it off by saying I'm 40:eek:(yes, you wouldn't know due to my young looks!) but that will change next Friday when I hit 41!:eek::eek:

So come next Friday, I will have had roughly 33 years of gaming under my belt!

If there is a decent amount of interest, I will make an 'Auld Codgers' Leaderboard!

Been gaming since I was about 14, detention due to not being able to leave the arcade machines in the taxi rank on the way to school was a weekly event :(

Been going to Lans since about 1999 and still go now.
think i'll PC game untill RSI stops me.
 
I started gaming at 4 years old with an Atari 7800 and asteroids, defender, moon patrol, Centipede, and the racing game with the red and blue cars that I cant remember the name of .....

Though I'm not (very) old yet, but I am approaching my 30s now :(

Nonsense man, there's the Carpal Tunnel op for that, I had it done when I was 25 but I must point out that it was not due to gaming!

Surgery carried out because the 'friendly' family Doberman left me with nerve and muscle damage when he tried to pull my hand off my wrist when I was 14!)

Will be 44 very soon, been gaming on and off since @1976 with my first black & white Pong console. How time flies.
 
Just turned 50 here, well in August, still love gaming, although find the more sedate nature of games like Skyrim, more to my likeing now.
Cant see me stopping anytime soon:)
 
28 i am! been gaming non stop since Amstrad, C64, Amiga days! ive pretty much owned every console (even the jaguar console) up until SNES thats when i converted to PC gaming and i haven't changed ever since!

Been to a few lans and also won a few! like someone said up top ill probably game until i get RSI or my hands fall off!
 
43 here .... First personal computer I played on was space invaders on the zx81, complete with 64k ram pack hanging off the back. First time I was truly blown away by a game was ultima 7 on a 386 and subsequently trying to run ultima online beta on a 486 with a modem connection.

Still remember in my placement year being amazed at the information being shared via newsgroups, didn't see it's like again for a few years till I hooked up on a local bbs using fidonet
