Christmas Build Competition is a go!

Okay guys! Build contest time!!!

I will be assigning plots until lunch time tomorrow, so if you want one please post a comment on this webpage:

IMPORTANT RULE!!!!

no peeping, anyone caught going into someone elses build without permission will be temp banned (this wont count as a warning).
 
As i'm not entering the christmas builds can i poke my head in to see what people are doing or is that still not allowed?
 
Santa's Lost Presents

Just been told that Santa flew over Linktart! I've been told he dropped a fair few presents, only 9 have been seen but there may be more hidden about! You can go hunting for these presents by going to my home (/home maxi) and hunting around the snow biome. They are all fairly visible from ground level so no need to go digging, if you find a present be sure to post your winnings here along with the cords so we can mark off which presents have been found! If you find green wool in the chests you will get an awesome festive green name for the next 2 weeks!

Maybe midnight isn't the fairest time to be doing this.
 
Well it appears that I should read all of the posts before I jump on and explore next time :rolleyes:. At least I found some good caves :).
And yes, it really doesn't make much sense to do it at midnight. Perhaps it would be better to say "over the next couple of days, chests will be dropped", but not say exactly when. Makes it a bit fairer for everyone.
 
I completed my first big house a couple of days ago. Thats real days, not ingame days. Dunno how to upload a screenshot though. I think I did pretty well for a first attempt. Its quite tall, made of stone and has several windows and torches running along the lip of the roof for light. Also got a wooden fence around the front wall to make a garden of sorts for protection.

My starting location seems to be surrounded by mountains and desert areas. Had to go exploring to find other grassy areas with animals. Almost got lost on the way back and ended up having to quickly construct a small shelter to spend the night in. I ended up leaving it there with a furnace and crafting table set up in case I need to head back that way again. A map for this game would be a useful feature!

It's only for a bit of fun and the loot isn't that great any ways :D

I thought I mentioned over the weekend, but if not I'm sorry. I found a flaw with my current "drop" design which made them easier to spot so I shall make it slightly harder at some point today :p
