*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

The queues are absolutely ridiculous. Tomb of Freedon Nadd escpecially so. Queued up at half 1 today, went out to do shopping, came back did some crimbo food prep, now at half 5 near enough (4 hours later!) I'm over 400 places away from entering the server whose queue time is apparently less than 2 hours 15 minutes -.-

I think the problem is, because it is the weekend, people just aren't logging off and making room for others. Plus, with the queues I think it is forcing people to stay on. It is frustrating, but should get better.

I think they must be some macros abuse going on which is adding to the queue problem.

If there is I hope those doing it get decent sized bans.

Whatever the cause, Bioware have no excuse for letting this happen. They assigned our guild to the server amongst so many others (we had queues from day one of early access), they knew how many people pre ordered the game and would be giving it a go on launch. EA have the experience with mmo's. Why isn't it being put to use?

As it stands I can boot up the game, do a day worth of chores/play DCUO in the time it takes me to log on, then get in for an hour or two of play time (depending whether I work the next day or not). For something I paid £130 quid it's not acceptable - at all.

I can't really blame them tbh. Plus, it doesn't need a macro - there are plenty of other methods. Have only seen a few people doing it though.

54 in the queue :D

Level 12 now. Completed my first flash point with no tanks or healers, haha. It was long but pretty good fun. Although I needed on an offhand weapon and someone who greeded it won and they couldn't trade it with me. Annoying.

Enjoying it a lot, Niman has queues now though. :(

Not directed at you but Bioware are probably putting a bit too much faith in the mmo population intelligence levels. They have clearly thought big pop+ long queue = people spreading, which most normal people would do.

Mmo communities though are counter intuitive and see a big queue which to them means the obly place to be. People have their own stupidity to thank.

Those with guilds I can understand the queueing it all the morons I have described above have seen your busy server and exacerbated the problem.

Bioware should just ban new character creation on busiest servers, problem solved.

The next flashpoints definitely need tanks/healers :)

I remember completing the first one in beta with only one other person - took a VERY long time! Hope the raids are as good.

22nd in the queue, and about to get my new ship :D

Looks like I'm going to miss out on Early access - Tesco has stuffed up pre-orders they just said on the phone and no codes will go out in time. Anywhere else still doing orders with early access?

To be fair they should have locked those servers for people not in pre-launch guilds - yes sucks for making alts as they don't get auto guild invite, but for the launch piece of mind I'd say it's a fair trade off. That would have spread people around far far more efficiently than their 'let's overfill the servers THEN ask people to create characters elsewhere'. The planning for the launch is some sick joke :(.

RE byron: at this point you won't get more than a day worth of early access if any at all. Don't bother with it mate. Due to the atrocious queues you won't get much early play time anyway.

No issues with queues on Sith'ari to be honest. Struggling to decide between Smuggler and Jedi Knight at the moment, just can't make my mind up which I want to level first :p

Great sat in the queue for 2hrs come back to see a 1002 error :(

Tried logging in now I cannot even get in queue for Tomb of Freedon Nadd. But I can instantly get into a non full server.

I seriously think ima just roll on another server tbh because I cannot see the queues getting any better for Tomb.
