I find this story to by highly unlikely. As far as I know, Nintendo pushed the hardware to it's limit with the Pokemon games, I doubt there was any space at all left for any additions. The only changes that could be made would be image swaps for Pokemon UltraMegaSuperFake editions.

Please... The Pokemon generation are at university. I'd know. I was one of them. Although I should emphasise the original Pokemon. (red blue yellow) not the rubbish other ones.
