Why are people on buses strange? Is this why they can't pass their driving test?

Agreed. In some kind of bizarre way the OP does have a point. Buses do attract some strange people.

Unfortunately, I catch the bus to and from college, but only because I don't own a car (I'd rather keep what little money I earn) and that it's £10/week cheaper than getting the train.

Among the "normal" people and pensioners, the kind of people I usually see on the bus are chavs, "special" people, and the occasional sociopath.

I see old people on buses around my town when i use them, i see students on buses when I'm in Manchester.
 
There's a train stop 5 mins from my front door so i tend to use the train if i'm not driving. Outside of peak times it's an excellent service with newish rolling stock and always spare seats available.

Wrt buses i suppose it depends where you live and what route you're on. When i used them, the worst routes involved detours through the local council estates. I don't mean to tarnish all inhabitants of said estates with the same brush but sometimes you just sat there thinking wtf.

Pretty simple and non confusing. You said buses full of old people and I just questioned the travel times as it was polar opposite to my work travel experience when I lived at home.
 
I HATE getting the bus, I'd rather cycle in the rain than get one!

People that get the same bus every day and NEVER have the right money out.
Old people with those stupid cards that never scan properly.
Old people that get on for two stops because it's free.
Fat people that sit next to you and bulge into you :( I'm a skinny lad aswell.
People that jump the Q getting on the damn bus.
Retarded folk who just want to talk and make noises in my general direction when all I want to do is sleep/die.

That's on top of the usual smelly,scummy and violent people who are usually on it.

The X1 to Glasgow though is epic being a coach and people tend to be a bit more upmarket but you still get the old ******* with the cards getting on for two stops :(
 
Why do I get the feeling that the shocking twist of 2011 is that AberystwythLAD, britboy4321, bhavv and me are all in fact the same person.
