Hi

This must be one of the most boring threads ever . . . .

I need a bolt about 80mm long, with a head that is at least 20mm diameter, so that it wont slip through the holes. It needs to be able to take a nut on the other end

Dont even know to search for it on the internet . . . .

Thanks

Mehul

This must be a wind up.

Head size is irrelevant. That's what washers are for.

Take a pic of what you're fixing and I'll take it from there.

The most important bits are the diameter of the hole and the length (80mm).
If you you get it the same size as the hole then the head can't slip through.

I really do worry for the future of mankind if ever OcUK GD forums went down for a day. OP does not know where to buy a bolt. Jesus Wept :eek:

And just when 2011 is almost over, a thread comes along to take the crown for the years most unbelievable 'spec me' GD post.

M16 bolt and nut? 24mm head - 100mm long bolts here nuts here

Or check out your local DIY shop, or ebay/online/whatever.

I'm sure M16 bolts are 24mm heads :)

Just checked - M16 is generally a 24mm wrench size - the head is 28mm (or so) from corner to corner - you could get away with M14 (24mm head) that has a 22mm wrench size :)

Yeah - I realised that a few seconds after posting - I'm a complete and total bell end :o:D

So - 1.75cm thick glass :eek::eek::p

Edit your post as I think you will get suspended for using that word
