Steam Christmas Sale 2011

Nothing for me from the daily deals today.

Will have a browse over the normal sales and take a note of things to buy on the last day or in a daily deal if they pop up.

Will games in the daily deals come back on the last day? I want to get Portal 2 for a friend but I don't know if it's worth waiting or not. Then again, £5 is still super cheap.

Also, anyone else seen the giveaway they're doing next month? First prize is every game on Steam.

I popped what I wanted in my cart and kept on hiting the cart button until the price went to the lower figures then rushed to the purchase for myself button. As I said it's best to be quick as steam/capcom usually notices their error within an hour. Though @ £12.49 that's only 50% off that might be the price it goes on sale for or ends up as a daily for that price or maybe less. It's your call.

Considering it includes the very recent Arkham City including DLC, the Warner Bros pack looks a pretty good deal for those who don't have many of the titles yet. Obviously, wait until Jan 2nd before ordering though.

Problem I have is there are some great publisher packs but I have half the decent games already, or I bought the packs a year or two back so am missing the more recent titles

Maybe, but I doubt it. Even if it did come back there wouldnt be a big saving on £5. Maybe a quid? But I think the chance of losing the Daily Deal outways the hope of it showing up again as a Daily Deal later.

IMO, I would buy a Daily Deal on the day it becomes a Daily Deal.

I think if it is already at 50% reduction then I may aswell get it. Don't think it will go further to 75% reduction.

As for your trick, how shall I do it?

Shall I click on the add to cart button, then click on remove and then click on add to cart button again? Is that how it works?

Just keep what you want in your cart but seeing as the store in steam is just a webpage pressing the cart button at the top right refreshes your cart.

Recommend Orcs Must Die! to anyone who is on the fence. I picked up mine in the recent sales with the DLC as well, not necessary to get the DLC but meh wasn't that expensive.

Managed to get Dead Island and DLC into my cart for £6, then went to pay and its back up to £25...
