This is insane, at last my order went through after changing to Visa instead of paypal. I just restarted my launcher which I was loffed into ok and now it says incorect username/password ... :(

There was a part on their site that had huge tickboxes of what you had to do to be set for the actual launch of the game. I believe it was in your account somewhere. I read in a few places other than that also that you'd need a sub by the 22nd.

True their site should be able to withstand the traffic but they warned you not to leave it to the last minute ;P

This TBH.

They did say CLEARLY before-hand.

I put my details in as soon as I received my CD key last friday - why do you ask?, because I READ the emails & the information they provided.

All modern MMO's usually say "Requires an active subscription & debit/credit card to play" type thing - this should be no surprise.

To be fair, the site should be able to handle it - get annoyed about that - but stop being so butt-hurt by the fact you left it till the last second, now can't play.

Also - to those saying.

"Zomg, I was going to quit after the first month - so I don't want to have to put the details in" - I don't believe you.

Why would be be getting to tetchy & narky over not being able to play a game for a few hours you intent to ditch shorty?

TBH you talking rubbish, this was never mentioned when pre-orders became available what is it with so many people they feel the need to lie to feel important?

and I had no problems what server setting up my sub

no one has ever said different, everyone is well aware you need a active sub, the point is you only should need it after your 30 days which you get with the game"!!!, lol change the argument to suits yourself why don't you ..aah another kiddy word but-hurt ...aaah bless

At the end of the day it's standard practice, heck i seem to remember years ago not even being able to play the WoW free trial without giving them my credit card info.
 
Damn, being told i don't have permission to post on the TOR forums yet retail key and subscription are in and i'm playing the game right now. I still pull my hair out at these little niggles surrounding MMO launches, you'd think i'd know better by now lol.

Replying to him in such an idiotic way doesn't make you come out on top =/

For all of you who got your games last week. It plainly says "You require an active subscription to play" on the case.
It's the standard for MMOs.

I never said they let us know when they made the pre-orders available.

It says clearly on the screen after you input the CD key - it's also not that usual.

Who exactly is changing the argument?, all I'm saying is that it was made pretty clear over the last week what will be required to play.

A number of people ignored the email/notifications & are now all trying to log in at once - I have no sympathy for them, besides - it's just a game.

People threatening to sue, crying, whining & moaning about something which is fine is annoying to have to read.

Leave something until the last moment, expect problems - I bet the people whining also complained about how they handled the EA (Even thought they get two extra days for free).

blah blah again changing what you say ..blah blah, was rubbish then and more so now!
